Being a CAREGiver
Every year we believe that it is good to recognise the work our Caregivers provide and show appreciation for someone who has made a real difference to our clients lives, not because Care giving is their job, but because they love the job they are doing and this shows from the compliments our clients make about the Caregivers who support them.
This year we have awarded our “Make a Difference Award 2016 / 2017” to Helen Jones of Garden Village, Wrexham
Helen Jones has worked for Home Instead Senior Care since August 2016, Helen was a stay at home mum before coming to Home Instead, having brought up her 4 children with her husband. Helen came to Home Instead having seen a local advert and thought that the job sounded very interesting, as she really enjoyed helping her Elderly relatives to stay at Home.
Helen has written a short piece of what is like to work for Home Instead Senior Care :
“The time we are given as Caregivers to spend supporting clients means we can make a positive difference to their day and the trust bond formed makes it possible to notice when all is not right or something simply needs attention. I like the way the office communicates, which ensures that we are kept up to date so I am able to give the best care at all times and also that the effort we make to take the best care of clients of our clients assisting each other when those unforeseen circumstances arise are appreciated.
To sum it up, I find this was the best career move I have made, to be part of this Big Caring and Happy Company”
We wish to say, “thank you” to Helen Jones for all the hard work she has done for our clients. Helen will be enjoying a 3-course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine @the lemon tree, Wrexham.
I can't praise this company enough. I am LPA for my neighbours; she has Alzheimer's. I am a senior clinical nurse with extremely high standards, I dreaded having to get a care package organised as it became necessary. I picked Home Instead after a few interviews with different agencies, as I was impressed by the manager. The agency, and the Manager have met my expectations and hopes and more. The kindness and compassion shown by them has been of a very high standard; they maintain dignity and go out of their way to be creative and personal giving support. The client has been challenging. The Home Instead team have not been fazed by this, but have calmly and professionally helped and responded quickly (often within a few hours) to increasing needs. Once I had to change the package 3-times in one day as things escalated. The Manager is quite simply outstanding, good care obviously matters to her. I think it is her honesty, integrity and genuine concern that makes her so special.Mrs J.W
