About Home Instead Worcester

Welcome to Home Instead Worcester.

Home Instead Senior Care provides at home care, including companionship, home help and personal care and specialises in dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Our in home care service enables older people to remain independent and avoid residential care homes. Working with healthcare and social care professionals our home care service is award winning.

Home Instead Worcester is different. While we are proud to be registered with Worcestershire County Council and the NHS we do not take on contracts as we will not do the short calls that other agencies do, we respond to our client’s needs and don’t try to “shoe horn” their calls into existing rota’s leading to constantly late or missed calls, and we send our Caregivers back all the time to our clients, building up trust and friendship – all our Caregivers are introduced to our clients – we never send strangers as others do.

Our Caregiver’s training is second to none and we are the only care company in the UK that has its own City and Guilds certificated course in Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Our Caregivers are generally older and more experienced than those in other agencies meaning they have much more in common with our clients which helps to build better relationships.

The Worcester office of Home Instead Senior Care is part of a Global network of more than 900 locally owned and operated offices and is based alongside Age UK at Malvern Gate to the South of the City and within easy reach of the Malverns, Droitwich , Pershore, Evesham and surrounding areas. For a more comprehensive list of our coverage please see Areas Serviced.

I know Worcestershire well, having lived in the County for several years as well as running businesses here for a long time.

Seeing my Grandmother in residential care that was supposed to be the best but which gave me great concern lead me to question why more people could not be cared for longer in their own homes, and my Mother’s experience of Alzheimer’s really caused me to question the quality of support available for both people with dementia and their families, for who the strain can be overwhelming.  My Care Managers and I are all passionate about being the best we can be in the provision of Dementia care, and I have recently been awarded a University degree in Dementia Studies.

When I learnt about Home Instead Senior Care in great detail I found an organisation that was genuinely committed to changing the way care is delivered, with an emphasis on the Individual rather than the task, and Home Instead Worcester was started as a result. Our recent awards by industry watchdog Laing and Buisson as the UK’s no.1 care provider for older people, along with the Queens award for enterprise for innovation in care confirm that we are very different in our field.

We choose our Caregivers for their compassion, reliability and empathy; we also look at their particular interests so that we can carefully match our clients and Caregivers one to one. All of our Caregivers are fully trained to ensure they have the specific skills and approach we require. We also thoroughly vet all caregivers and we are uncompromising in our insistence for multiple references.

If you would like to talk about the Services we can provide then please just give us a call or call in and see us, our door is always open – we are here to help you no matter how urgent your need.

Dear Home Instead

We would like to thank all the kind people who have taken care of my Father over the past few weeks particularly the carer who was with us on the night he died. Without you it would not have been possible to fulfil his final wish, which was to die at home.
