We want people to retain their own independence and live comfortably at home, so they are closer to their friends and family. Our clients all have their own individual needs when it comes to care in the home, and we cater for each and every one of them, whether they are 18 or 100, or require disability support or dementia care; we are able to provide high quality home care which can enhance their quality of living. Our home care services are flexible and tailored to each individual, as we understand that circumstances can change over time, which can change what care is required. Our team provides assurance to both clients and their loved ones that they are being cared for with dignity and respect. The care is monitored through the use of a Client Journal which provides information about what clients and CAREGivers do on a daily basis. This is filled in regularly for both Care Managers and families to look at. Along with this, regular quality assurance checks, and risk assessments are carried out by our Field Care Supervisors to ensure that the care is proceeding as it should.
Longer care at home, and no missed calls!
We believe that good quality care for the elderly can’t be delivered in 20 minute visits. We feel outstanding care is not about completing tasks set by the client, and then leaving. That is why we offer care from 1 hour a day all the way up to 24 hour care. This way we can truly get to know the client personally and fulfill all of their needs. No matter how small their needs, we are there to fulfill them and provide true friendship throughout our care.
We also implement the use of an IQ Timecard system which eliminates the worry of missed or late calls for families and clients. We will always meet the times set by clients, and are there to help them at whatever time they need us. Office staff monitor the IQ system to guarantee that CAREGivers are clocking in and out of care visits at specific times as arranged with by the client.
Home Instead Senior Care Welwyn & Hatfield have consistently met all the health and social care standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our last inspection was in December 2015, which highlighted that we remain CQC compliant and are upholding a "Good" rating.

Picking the right people to become a CAREGiver with Home Instead Senior Care is a number one priority for all of us here. This makes our recruitment process very lengthy, with a lot of factors taken into account to determine who the right person is for the CAREGiver role.
For anyone entering the recruitment process we ask for 4 References, and conduct a full DBS check to ensure all of our clients will be cared for in safe hands. Personality is the key ingredient for choosing the right person to become a CAREGiver, we look for people who are empathetic and have the drive and determination to make a difference to people’s lives. All of our clients are matched to CAREGivers based on similar personalities and interests, so the relationship between them can develop into a truly organic friendship. We also introduce new CAREGivers to clients so they are able to get to know them first, before they can choose whether to enter into a long term care package with them.

I just wanted to say how fantastic Jane is, When I arrived at my Mum's House she was eating her Breakfast and Jane was fully engaged with her. She persuaded Mum easily to have a Bath and nothing was too much trouble. Jane is absolutely fantastic with my Mum and made my day start much easier than usual!
Jane has even suggested taking my Mum to get her Nails done once a month which would be great!
