All the carers were so kind and thoughtful with my mother. They truly cared about making life good for her. The office staff were always very helpful and responded to all our questions and requests. I would definitely recommend Home Instead. ’’

Melanie of Wandsworth praises Home Instead

Home Instead proved to be the reliable, friendly, efficient, caring help we needed. Always with a lightness of attitude the helper used humour and life experience to enrich my mother’s now limited life routines and lack of desire to move much. As mum recovered Home Instead helped her to be independent more of the time.

Margaret of Putney says thank you.

I wish to say how well Rose has cared for me over the years. Her patience, kindness and skills have been much appreciated, especially lately when she has been suffering from a sore foot. I hope she makes a speedy recovery and is back with us in the New Year.

Patricia prevents her client from being scammed

Dear Mandy

I would just like to pass on some positive feedback regarding Patricia. I couple of weeks ago, I realised that my Dad had handed over his bank details to someone who had cold called him on the phone. I left a note in a book which I hope that all carers will read. Patricia clearly made a point of looking (this was only her 2nd visit) and whilst she was at the house, my dad received another call from the initial company, who managed to talk him out of the cancellation which I had set up. Patricia called me to let me know that he was on the phone giving out his bank details.

Due to her observation and diligence, I was able to follow up with the company and Citizens Advice and hopefully he will be refunded.

Kind regards,

James of Wandsworth says thank you

Home Instead provided homecare to my mother for 4 years. During that time her needs changed as she became more unwell with dementia and physical challenges.
Home Instead visited with the family to ensure the appropriate care was provided throughout. They provided efficient and responsive administrative support but most importantly they sought to provide consistent carers who provided excellent care to my mum. I have nothing but respect for those who cared for mum with such patience and compassion.

Margaret of Wandsworth thanks Home Instead

I am writing on behalf of my family to thank you and all the wonderful staff at Home Instead for all the help and support you have given me over the last years in caring for my mother and especially during the last two weeks of her life.

She was taken into hospital on 16th January with pneumonia and by the beginning of February she had stopped eating and drinking, she would gag and get very distressed if we tried to insist on feeding her. Her consultant told us that she was “at end of life” if she could no longer eat. She begged to come home and so on 8th February I brought her home sooner and had a care package put in place. I rang you the night before, out of hours and Rasa you’ll never know how relieved and reassured I felt by your sympathetic support and encouragement. You made me feel I had made the right decision and I was confident that you would provide all the help I needed at such short notice. I will always be grateful for that telephone conversation. Thank you.

I would like to commend all the carers who looked after mum during those last two weeks including Ramya, Mary, Coral, Doreen and Corinne, but especially Vedah whose kindness and expertise inspired me with confidence.

I also highly command Krystyna and Denise mum's regular carers, who looked after her so brilliantly. They are a great credit to Home Instead.

Finally, I would like to pay tribute to Will and Mandy who man the telephones and who are always so helpful and obliging.

In sincere appreciation and thanks, Margaret

Can I just say, once again, Mary is an absolute diamond. Someone threw away the mould when they made Mary. She is very much part of the family and her caring, understanding nature has become invaluable to us. She gives us all an alternative thinking on things with her experience and has helped us to navigate all of the elements that have changed the picture of our lives over the last few months.

We really value her company, her wit, and her help and companionship.

Thank you so much for bringing Mary into our lives.

We have been delighted with the services provided by Home Instead for our elderly mother & recommend them most highly. The team is highly professional flexible and trustworthy, all the factors that are crucial when organising care for our vulnerable loved ones.
Home Instead carers have helped brighten up our mothers days with enjoyable companionship as well as attending to her general well being

The carers at Home Instead have meant the world to my parents - my father needed help with my mother's care and very reluctantly agreed for a carer. Initially, he was suspicious and upset at the intrusion into his home, but quickly realised what a difference it made to his quality of life.

Over the past three years, my parents' home-care has increased from once a day to 24-hour care. Changes & transitions were handled wonderfully smoothly by Home Instead and from the very start, their main carer has been the most delightful person you could ever have looking after your loved ones:

Anne from Wandsworth

The CAREGivers at HomeInstead have meant the world to my parents - and to me. About 3 years ago, when my parents were 91 and 92, it became obvious my father needed help with my mother's care. Very reluctantly he agreed for a carer to come in the morning to get my mother up, washed, dressed and give her breakfast. He was suspicious and upset at the intrusion into his world and home, but quickly realized what a difference it made to his quality of life. The morning routine that used to take him hours was accomplished in a fraction of the time by a delightful, thoughtful, gentle and efficient carer. Breakfast was now eaten at the right time and not at almost lunchtime!

Over the past three years my parents' home-care has increased from once a day, to twice a day, then three times a day, and now they both have 24 hr care. All these changes and transitions were handled wonderfully smoothly by HomeInstead. From the very start, their main carer has been the most delightful person you could ever have looking after your loved ones: Rasa Melville. Rasa has now been (deservedly) promoted to Care Manager. In addition to Rasa, there has been a core of regular carers (Mary, Coral, Rasa T. and more recently Vedah) who are now like family. They know my parents' likes, dislikes and cope caringly and professionally with my father's mood swings. Every day they dress my mother in a nicely coordinated outfit. Brush her hair and make her feel pampered. The carers always ask what they would like to eat and offer them choices from the fridge. There are just so many big and small extra efforts the HomeInstead carers have done for my parents.

I live in the US and am so grateful, so happy and reassured to know my parents are in such professional, punctual, honest, capable and above all warm and caring hands. Each carer brings their own personality into the house and my parents’ faces light up when they see each one walk through the door. I don’t know what we would have done without all the wonderful staff from HomeInstead.

Thank you so much for giving me peace of mind and for giving my parents the expert care they need which has enabled them to stay where they want to be: in their own home.

Katherine of Dulwich

From the beginning, we were impressed by Home Instead staff, who were kind, friendly and willing to work with us to ensure my father in laws care was personalised. Communicating with the office was easy and requests for changes or extra help responded to efficiently. Having a small dedicated team caring for my father in law, was just what he needed and accepting carers allowed him to live at home alone for over a year. We found Home Instead via a new recommendation and we have no problems in recommending them to others seeking personalised care for a loved one.

Victor of Wandsworth

When at almost 93 years of age, I was stricken with a heart problem which restricted my mobility and confined me to my home. I felt mentally shattered, my home became increasingly untidy and very run down. The quality of my life was in free fall. Then, a near miracle occurred. A carer was appointed, who with the strength of her personality, her experience and her work ethic, made my home sparkle with the orderliness which only properly maintained housework can bring about, but to me, the important thing is that I have regained my zest for life and my physical appearance now reflects the joy of a life anew!

Thank you Home Instead Wandsworth

Our CAREGiver Nellie looked after Wilma’s mum, who was kind enough to write the following note:

"To all the staff and carers. I would like to thank you all for all the care and compassion you showed to my mother, and for the great support you gave me. It made an immeasurable difference to our lives, I will not forget it. Wilma"

 Mary of Dulwich

My mum was looked after by carers from Home Instead Senior Care for a period of 10 months. During this time she had three falls and broke her hip, and later her kneecap. On the final occasion the carer found mum and stayed with her until the ambulance arrived. Mum has dementia. Mum received the best possible care from the carers at all times, without them she couldn't have spent another year in her home

Linda from Streatham

Home Instead is very worthwhile, they are punctual, they always clean up after themselves and leave a very tidy kitchen and I can't ask for mere than that. My daughter always comments on how tidy your carers leave the kitchen.

Linda from Wandsworth

Home Instead provide an excellent service. It is very reassuring for the family to know that our mother is so well looked after

Paul from Wandsworth gives his thoughts on his mum's care

It is a real comfort to know that all aspects of my mother's well being are considered. You almost forget that this is a commercial enterprise because care and consideration is so much at the forefront of what they do. My mother 'loves them all' and I am not surprised! Flexible in all aspects I cannot recommend them highly enough

Ruth from Dulwich

To Ann Marie, Tony and all the staff

Thank you for all your kindness and help. You have provided us with some lovely carers; so that I can leave my husband quite happily in their care.

The service you provide is really a God send and makes allthe difference to a life that can be very difficult and sad at times with a husband with dementia. Bless you all.

Ruth

Nancy from Wandsworth

We are most grateful for the wonderful care shown by the team who as well as the necessary basics, brought interest and affection into his limited orbit. Whether a shared interest in jazz, the crossword puzzle, finding or even making little treats to eat, or sourcing the more practical needs to make his life easier, and always, all ot them, bringing cheer

Paul from Wandsworth

Eulanda our Home Instead Caregiver is an extraordinary individual, a "one off." We are blessed to have her in our lives to look after mum and always to be there for us.

For Eulanda the care is not a job its obviously something she was born to and loves doing. The love, care and attention has been beyond anything we could have imagined. She is part of the family

Sue from Wandsworth

Dear Ann Marie and Tony

This is to thank you very much indeed for the care you have given to Christopher, my husband, over the last couple of years. Shirley was a star, and he cared very much for her – always cheerful and teasing – something he liked a lot.

And thank you to all the carers who carried out the continuous care over the last few weeks of Christopher’s life. It was not an easy assignment but I hope you will tell them how very much I appreciated everything they did for us.

I don’t know if you have a ‘staff box’ to which I could make a contribution. I would be very happy to do so.

With all best wishes – I shall always recommend you, and indeed have done so today.

Yours ever

Sue

Carole from Dulwich

Hi Mandy

Have been meaning to phone you but never seem to get round to it so thought I'd email quickly from work.

I'm taking another short break so would like the extra shifts as before. Can I just say I would have never taken these breaks with any of the other agencies we've had.

Your girls are top class and I feel very reassured knowing they are looking after dad.

Thanks

Carole

Hazel of Dulwich

We value the service Julia provides and it is supporting my parents a great deal. She is a treasure.

Carley from Wandsworth

I recommend Mary as she is very efficient. She works well and is very capable, she is reliable and cooperates well with me. She listens well and laughs and makes me happy. I would recommend her to anyone because she makes life worth living and carrying on. Since Mary has been visiting me I have improved a lot

Wendy thanks Home Instead Wandsworth for the care provided to her dad

Hello Tony,  Thank you so very much for all your efforts and work you are putting in with my dad, I cannot tell you how grateful I am, and we as a family are. I know it is a service they are paying for, but it is done with great care and compassion. Wendy

Home Instead Wandsworth's care was 'absolutely outstanding'

The care provided by both carers and managers to my friend suffering with motor neurone disease was absolutely outstanding. I say this as someone who, both professionally and within my family, has had a lot of contact with care-providing agencies. The planning of the appropriate care-package was sensitive and thoughtful, and in response to crisis they showed extreme care and efficiency in pulling out all the stops. The carers themselves felt cared for by the organisation, which supported them in their care of my friend.

George of Wandsworth gives his candid feedback

I am happy with the carers attending to me, they are always punctual and I know exactly what time they will attend. They get on with the job and are caring and look after me well. George.

Our Wandsworth care team get another thank you...

I would like to say thanks again to you and all your staff who are involved in my grandad's care as we couldn't cope without you and it gives the family peace of mind to know that the people who are caring for him actually care about him if you know what I mean !!

Well done to our carer Mary

Delighted for you to use my comments. I think it is only fair to say that all the carers Marcus has had through you have been exceptional. Mary has done a wonderful job with him over the past year - she teases and stimulates him, laughs with him, and takes no notice of his moods, and he has become very fond of her. I have plenty of experience of carers who have stayed for five minutes, so I know that he is not always easy. For this reason I am glad to give credit where credit is due.

Merle - Balham

Jasmine was so kind and helpful. I hope she will be free when I next need help.  Best wishes  Merle

Thank you from Dulwich

Thank you for the help that we received from you in regard to my mother over more than a year’s input. We have always found your system accessible and readily available and have been very pleased and satisfied with the quality of care received We would like to thank Ann Marie and yourself and of course her carers Irene and Leslie whose input greatly eased our responsibilities during the last year Many thanks Simon

Bertha of Dulwich

Dear Ann-Marie, On behalf of my mother and I we would like to thank all the staff at Home Instead and in particular Janice and Penny for their very professional care of my mother and the support they gave – we felt we were in safe hands which was very re-assuring.

Sue M - Wandsworth

" A very good service, very well run by wonderful people"

Sophie - Clapham

We just wanted to thank you for all your kind support over the last months. It has meant that Mum and Dad felt supported in their own home, with sympathetic help and back-up on hand. We realised last weekend, when we had to call on some emergency carers, how superior the Home Instead carers are.

Tony from Dulwich

We have used Home Instead now for over a year and find the input outstanding. They provide two workers attending on most weekdays. The staff are sensitive and very competent and have developed good relationships with the relative cared for. The administration is simple and effective, a tribute to the organisation. Highly recommended.

 John - from Wandsworth

I have used the company now for some years and their services are outstanding. All their carers are fully trained, caring and considerate. They always appear on time and are also excellent cooks. I cannot praise this company enough and would recommend them to anybody. John

John from Wandsworth

The carers you have supplied me with, especially Eulanda & Janice are absolutely superb. They cared for me wonderfully and I could not have asked for anyone more keen, helpful and considerate. John

Jean - Wandsworth

Tony and I are delighted with the relationship Sarah has made with my mother and we really appreciate both her friendliness and professionalism. She is excellent. We have been delighted with both the carers that you have found us. We couldn't fault them. Many thanks and good wishes, Jean.

Alan Holland

I can't thank Paul enough; he has been a wonderful carer to my uncle. Living outside of London makes it difficult for us to call in and keep an eye on uncle but Paul is always willing to go the extra mile and has even been kind enough to call in and do his shopping on his days off. When Uncle's bed needed changing Paul liaised with Argos, made all the delivery arrangements and then made sure that he was there to meet the delivery men. When uncle lost his mobile phone Paul bought a new one, had the old number transferred across and made sure it was kept topped up. Paul is a diamond carer and we are truly grateful to him.

Mark Dineen, Clapham

We were very pleased with your staff, and I just wish that we had come across you sooner.

Joy Walley, Wandworth

I have nothing but praise for the speed, efficiency and professionalism with which Anne Marie & Tony responded to my cry for help after my mother broke her leg and no family members were available to look after her whilst I was away. Within a week it was all organised, the carers having met me and my Mum, with care starting before I went away to give us both confidence. It gave me peace of mind and Mum enjoyed the stimulation of company. Thank you.

The Aylmer Family, Wandsworth

We find your service really useful and helpful. The carers are punctual and the timetables are efficient and shown in advance, and the service is flexible so as to fit in with our lives. The carers are always patient and extremely capable with a positive attitude which is reassuring, so we are safe in the knowledge that mum is being well looked after and we have found that this has improved the atmosphere in the house It is always reassuring to know that there is someone on the end of the phone to listen to our general concerns with regard to mum, and they offer useful advice for the family. We are extremely happy with the service provided as it meets our needs from the family's point of view and any concerns we may have are dealt with efficiently and our concerns are always acted upon.
