BUPA's New Dementia Care Service in Wandsworth

Hi, my name is Amy Kerti and I am an Admiral Nurse. Admiral Nurses are specialist
nurses who focus on supporting the Relatives and Carers of those with a
diagnosis of dementia. We promote good practice in dementia care and aim to
support carers so that their loved one can live at home in the community for
longer. Half my time is spent providing consultancy support to 5 Bupa nursing
homes to ensure person centred care, whilst also supporting Relatives and
friends of those with dementia who reside  in the homes. My remaining time will be spent providing support for relatives and carers of people living with dementia within the Wandsworth area. I am currently in the process of developing this service. My services and time are fully funded by Bupa. Those I provide support to do not have to be affiliated
with Bupa in any way to recieve this service. You can contact me if you feel you would benefit from support surrounding understanding, or coming to terms with a loved ones  diagnosis of dementia; anxieties regarding future plans; if you would like practical skills training or advice on how to assist your loved one with, or improve your relationship
with them; you may require emotional support; some help and clarity when making
difficult decisions regarding your loved one, or maybe you need assistance in
expressing your own needs and choices.

I can be contacted via mobile 07702 919552 or email on amy.kerti@bupa.com

We are most grateful for the wonderful care shown by the team who as well as the necessary basics, brought interest and affection into his limited orbit. Whether a shared interest in jazz, the crossword puzzle, finding or even making little treats to eat, or sourcing the more practical needs to make his life easier, and always, all ot them, bringing cheer
