The Redbridge and Waltham Forest Team
Ben Barraco - Franchise Owner
Ben Barraco is the owner of the Redbridge & Waltham Forest office. He is responsible for the overall management of the business including marketing and PR activities, administration, accounting and payroll. Ben has previously held managerial positions in his family’s businesses in the leisure and hospitality sectors and, more recently, he was a manager at easyJet where he was responsible for staff performance and customer service delivery. When Ben decided, like his parents before him, to start his own business, he wanted to get involved with something with a strong customer service ethos but also wanted to do something that would make a real difference to peoples’ lives. Home Instead was the perfect opportunity to do both. Ben is now happy to find himself in the heart of the community, co-ordinating the service provided to an ever growing number of clients.
Madalina Paraia - Care Manager
Madalina has had many career changes in her life but has always come back to working in care. She comments: “The caring profession is wonderful as I really enjoy building relationships with clients and facing new challenges each and every day".
She adds: "Through my professional career I have always tried to encourage others to achieve personal success whilst remembering that the team always comes first. With my coaching and managing I try to develop the potential of other people around me".
When the care manager vacancy at Home Instead became available, Madalina wasted no time in applying! She is now responsible not only for individual clients, but also for organising her own team of caregivers.
Kelly Hockett - Care Co-ordinator
Kelly lives locally in Chingford and has been involved in the local community all her life. Her previous professional roles included teaching assistant at various schools in Waltham Forest and health care assistant with both Boots and the NHS.
Kelly initially joined Home Instead as a CAREGiver and quickly progressed to a scheduler role. When the vacancy for a full time Care Co-ordinator came along, Kelly jumped at the opportunity, she is now responsible for client liaisons, Quality Assurance and scheduling amongst other things!
She comments "This line of work is so rewarding! Every day is different and I look forward to do doing my bit to help improve our clients lives"
We are very proud of our team of Caregivers. Through a stringent recruitment process we have built a family of extremely committed, compassionate, reliable caregivers. All our Caregivers complete our extensive and award winning training programme prior to working with our Clients and are fully CRB checked and insured. We take pride in providing a compatibility match between our Clients and Caregivers and will always personally introduce our Caregiver to the Client at their first time of meeting. We are always looking to recruit local Caregivers. If you think you could fill this role we are always looking for people with these qualities to join our team. Please contact Madalina on 0203 1743240 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mum looks forward to her visit, they have built such a good rapport that she will do things she was difficult with before. Their banter and mutual respect is a joy to see!Mrs P, Goodmayes
