Due to an exciting expansion within Home Instead Senior Care, we are currently seeking a confident, autonomous, forward-thinking community nurse who will be home based supporting adult clients with a range of clinical needs in their own home. We are seeking someone who is passionate about providing quality care and is able to be flexible to meet the needs of our diverse range of clients.
You will work mainly in the community across a number of franchises in the North West of England including Wirral, Chorley and Manchester and surrounding areas, where you will be assessing and reviewing individual clients and their care packages and providing support and competency assessments to their CAREGivers. A passion for training is needed as you will also be expected to deliver training courses to CAREGivers in the franchise offices. Working hours are flexible to meet the needs of the clients and service. There may be some evening and weekend work although this is not expected to be the normal pattern of working but will vary according to the needs of the service.
The postholder will need to be a registered adult nurse with ideally at least two years, practical, post-qualifying experience. A previous history of nursing in a community setting would be an advantage but not essential.
You will have the ability to assess, review, care plan, train and make CAREGivers competent in a range of clinical skills, such as PEG, stoma, diabetes insulin administration, wound care, catheter care, infection control and oxygen. Experience in non invasive ventilation, cough assist and bowel care are an advantage.
A willingness to undertake train the trainer courses is also needed.
You will be expected to regularly travel to local communities throughout the region, therefore you must have a full driving license and access to a vehicle.
