The client is a female in her 80s, lives with her husband, and has a diagnosis of dementia so requires orientation around time and place as his short memory has been impacted but can engage on things in the past. The client is very pleasant and polite. She spends a lot of the day either watching tv, spending time in the company of her husband, or participating in indoor activities. She doesn't seem to go out much due partly to her dementia but on occasion, the family will take her on outings. she gets around well indoors.
The client usually wakes up mid-morning and will require prompting to attend to her personal hygiene which she can complete independently. The CAREGiver will need to prepare items required for this activity including towels and clean clothes.
The CAREGiver will support with preparing breakfast and other meals for the day
LIC will prompt the client for her medication
Once the client has completed her morning routine, LIC can then complete some light housework according to schedule and also be able to schedule some breaks during this time.
LIC with support with subsequent meals for the day.
The client also enjoys doing indoor activities and board games. LIC can plan short activities around this a few times a week.
The rest of the time is offering companionship and orientating and engaging the client.
The LIC will also offer low-level support to the client's husband for example including them in meal planning, offering drinks as required.

A female client with dementia. Requires prompting/reminding with daily routines otherwise able to attend to all her needs. The client enjoys watching tv and sports particularly. The husband will also require minimal support and uplift for this will be paid to LIC.
