Fran Bradshaw - Care Manager
I feel particularly lucky to have joined the Taunton office of Home Instead as their Care Manager from the onset. I am totally dedicated to working for this home care provider because they share my intrinsic values and passion for providing exceptional person-centred care. Delivering a high quality service and making a difference to people’s lives is paramount to me personally. This isn’t just a job to me, it’s a vocation.
My background has mainly been in hospitality which possibly explains why I am so passionate about getting services right. I made the decision to change employment direction after my own partner suffered a life changing stroke. For the last 5 years I have worked across the continuum of care in sheltered, supported, residential, nursing and palliative care. During this time I decided to support my commitment to the care industry by returning to education as a mature student, studying for and passing my BSc Honours Degree in Health & Social Care Management. I understand the difficulties that can be experienced by individuals, their families and carers trying to find the right care for themselves or their loved ones and I honestly believe that the care provision offered by Home Instead fulfil a significant gap and ease many individual concerns. I consider myself to be understanding and approachable to all, so feel free to contact me personally.
A little personal background information, I was born in Yorkshire but migrated to the South West after living in Europe for a few years. I spent 16 years in Cornwall before finally moving to my partner’s home county of Somerset and I’m now proud to call it my home too. I have three wonderful children aged 24, 12 and 11 years who all still live at home. My partner Adrian is visually impaired so we have the addition of a guide dog ‘Pepper’ to the household, who has become quite a character and loved and respected by all. In my free time I act as a secretary and first aider to a local junior rugby team (there’s nothing better than standing pitch side every Sunday morning in all weathers, that’s dedication for you!)
Zuzana Hajsterova: Care Coordinator
I started working for HISC in 2014. I started off as a CAREGiver within the local community and gradually worked my way up to a Senior CAREGiver, and I am now 1 of 3 Care Coordinators. As a Care Coordinator I manage a team of CAREGiver’s and I am responsible for a number of clients and their care. This includes regular communication with CAREGiver’s and clients and ensuring that they are happy in their roles and that the clients are happy with the support provided to them. I enjoy building relationships with our clients and CAREGiver’s. Getting to know them on not only a professional level, but a personal level too. Knowing we are making a difference to someone’s life is what matters most to me.
Sandie Thompson - Care Coordinator
I started working for HISC in the first few weeks of January 2018. I am currently working as a Care Coordinator and so far I love every minute. As a Care Coordinator I have the responsibility of making sure that our clients as well as CAREGivers are being cared for in every way possible. I previously worked for another domiciliary care company carrying out a similar role, as well as being in charge of employee rotas on a day to day basis. As well as that, I also worked at Musgrove Park Hospital in the Medical Emergency Unit Ward 9. Home Instead are a breath of fresh air! Being with a Care Company that actually have a passion for what they do for their clients and CAREGiver’s feels incredible. I go to work happy, and enjoy every single day. Everyone is so friendly and supportive, and I have been made to feel so welcomed, the team I work with are amazing and we all work hard as part as a team. Outside of work I love reading, listening to music and going away with our dog in our old motor home! I look forward to my journey with Home Instead.
Sophie Parker: Team Coordinator
I started working for Home Instead Senior Care in April 2017, and it’s been the best decision yet. I started off as the Office Administrator, where I was answering the day-to-day calls as well as supporting other team members. In August 2017 I took on the role of Team Coordinator. My responsibilities include client and CAREGiver matching, and ensuring that all support visits are in place on a day to day basis. This role has enabled me to build strong relationships with our AMAZING team of CAREGiver’s, and has also given me a great understanding of our client’s needs. I previously studied for 4 years within the Fitness & Leisure Industry, mainly focusing on customer’s fitness goals and gradually worked my way up into the ‘ Customer Service and Sales Department ‘. This job helped me understand my carer direction and made me realise that I am a people person, I love to help others. Making a difference to somebody’s life is what I strive to do, and Home Instead Senior Care feel the same as I do which is why I love what we do, whether it be a telephone call to a client, a sit down and chat with a CAREGiver or turning up to a client’s home to see a massive smile as you greet them. Home Instead Senior Care put CARE into CARING, and I truly feel honoured to be a part of such a fantastic team and company.

I started working with HISC at the beginning of the year, the time has flown by, and there is such a sense of belonging, so it feels like I have always been part of the team! Relationship building in the Community through Networking, Social Media, fairs, HISC campaigns to mention just a few. Working within all aspects of the Recruitment process ensuring that the HISC ethos and values are shared by those who join our dedicated team of CAREGivers – they are the heart of what we do!
I enjoy the challenge the role presents, to uphold the exceptionally high standards of HISC and meeting wonderful people along the way. My background has mainly been in business, sales and marketing, including manufacturing, hospitality and both property sales and lettings. My previous roles have always been customer focused ensuring client retention. Having a change of direction a few years ago, I worked in Support working with a range of vulnerable adults who had varying needs. This enabled me to experience and deliver person centred care – a very rewarding role.
A fantastic place to work with a great team of dedicated professionals who really do go the extra mile. Having only been with HISC for a short time it easy to see why they are an award-winning company including a five star award for Best Employers in Care 2017.
Sue Warren - Recruitment & Office Administrator
I have lived in Taunton all of my life and I am married with 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters, my hobbies are spending time with my family and dining out with friends. My main passion is spending quality time with my husband and taking cruise holidays together.
I Joined Home Instead in 2016 as a Recruitment and Retention co-ordinator and I now focus on Recruitment Support and Office Administration.
I have many years of working in the Care Sector mainly supporting young adults living with sensory loss, physical disabilities, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. I was Registered Manager at three Care Homes over a period of 16 years. This gave me a huge insight into the daily struggles of vulnerable people and how we can support them. I am passionate about making a difference to people’s lives and to ensure that everyone that we support has the best opportunity to have a happy and enjoyable quality of life.
Since becoming part of Home Instead team I have felt the strong ethos and values around what good quality care in the local community means and I strongly believe we deliver the best person-centred approach to our clients within our area
What is important to me is also to ensure that all of our new recruits and existing Caregivers are well trained and offered the best support throughout their own personal development, this then ensures our clients have quality care and build a good relationship with clients to ensure they someone they trust on a day to day basis
