Sally Clough - Franchise Owner
As the franchise owner I am responsible for the overall operations and strategic direction of the business. I take an active interest in day to day running of the care services we deliver and have in the past personally delivered care to our clients.
My previous career was within high end fashion retail, then moved into interiors being responsible for 27 shops before moving onto Head of Design in my last years within the sector. I was involved in business development, people management, sales, profit and customer services and marketing.
In 2007, I made the life changing decision to buy into the Home Instead Senior Care franchise. I am passionate about the values and beliefs or our company and I am proud to be delivering quality care to the community of Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas.
Matt - Office Manager
I came to Home Instead in 2012 as a Scheduler having previously worked in Care Recruitment. I am now the Office Manager and enjoy the feeling of knowing that each day is going to be different from the last as my role is so varied.
I support all the team with IT and technical requirements and manage the daily administration needs of the business. I am the first point of call in the office and thrive on the opportunity to talk to and meet everyone involved with Home Instead Sutton Coldfield.
Elizabeth - Service Care Coordinator
I joined Home Instead Senior Care in July 2015 after working for Birmingham City Council for 25 years in Older Adults Support Services.
I began my career as a Carer and then progressed to Administrative Support, then as a Home Care Manager. My final job role with Birmingham Council was to review the Care packages external agencies were providing to clients and dealing with concerns and issues raised.
I remain passionate about providing high quality care and being part of the Home Instead Team does just this. I am first contact for the client and family looking to arrange the appropriate care needed. Home Instead is a different agency to others, we are conscious of matching the Caregiver to the client which creates great relationships and provides good consistency of care.
I aim to deliver person centred care for everyone we meet and to support those in need, promoting their independence whilst at home. I am proud to work for a Company who supports and assists clients in this way.
Jemma - Scheduler
Having been a Supervisor, I am now the Scheduler for Home Instead. I have worked within the care industry for about 10 years in many different roles and enjoyed all of them. From Supervisor, quality control manager or head of complaints, no matter what the role, I have always continued to be a carer so I have a good understanding of the job and the support the carers need to deliver outstanding care.
I am very happy to be a part of the Home Instead team and ensure that the CAREGivers are in the right place at the right time, it's one big jigsaw puzzle! I have seen firsthand the empathy and passion that drives this company to be successful. Home Instead really do put the needs of a client first and I hope to support my team to consistently deliver outstanding care
Sue - Memory Cafe Organiser
Hi, my name is Sue and I joined as a Caregiver for Home Instead in the early years (2009). I am one of the longest serving team members and proud of it!
In June 2016 I took on the responsibility of setting up our Memory Cafe in Mere Green which continues to meet every Thursday morning and take great satisfaction from knowing that we are supporting the wider community providing a meeting place for people who are living with dementia. I now organise the Memory Cafe and provide administration support in the office on a part-time basis.
Liz - Trainer
I joined Home Instead Senior Care in July 2016 having worked in a large senior school in Pastoral Care for many years. Prior to that I worked for a high end retailer where great customer service was a priority.
My job is to welcome new CareGivers to the role as a Caregiver; I support and facilitate them on their journey through the knowledge sections of the Care Certificate ensuring they have the tools to be fantastic Caregivers and confident to provide the great service our Clients deserve.
Karen - Recruiter
Prior to Home Instead my positions have been in a sales environment. I was seriously lost when my sales role came to an end and thought about the direction i wanted to go in for my next chapter in life.
Having been involved in helping people in the community over many years i decided to look for positions in care
Home Instead really stood out with the ethos of the company. It matched my passion to make a difference to help local residents stay at home for as long as possible.
As Recruiter I meet many people that become caregivers for the first time. I like to see them gain knowledge, confidence, build relationships with our clients and I like to make them feel appreciated and valued in a friendly team environment. It gives me great job satisfaction.
Outside of work i love to socialise with friends and family, i enjoy volunteering to help disabled people and enjoy days out walking in the countryside.
Jodie - Senior Carer
Hi my name is Jodie Vickers, I am a Senior Carer with Home Instead.
I started out 5 yrs ago as a carer and quickly gained a lot of on hands experience and grew in confidence. I used to work in Administration in my previous job and the career change came when a family member became poorly and reliant on myself and others. I have 3 teenage children and find my role quite flexible to suit my family needs.
I enjoy going out to visit our clients; I find it rewarding working alongside all our carers old and new and sharing my knowledge to support them to do the best job they can.
Teresa - Senior Carer
I had previously worked in care as a palliative Senior Carer before joining Home Instead in 2013 as a carer and am now a Senior Carer.
My role entails giving CPR training to new caregivers, support visits to Caregivers, service reviews, quality assurances checks and care plan updates.
My job is varied which I really enjoy along with having good working relationships with CareGivers and giving advice where needed. I feel Home Instead is a breath of fresh air as far as care companies go!
Jacquie - Care Experience Lead
I'm Jacquie and I am the Care Experience Lead. I joined Home Instead in Summer 2014 after working for 19 years as a phlebotomist in a Doctor’s surgery. Initially I was a Supervisor and have completed my QCF L5 in Management.
My role is now to support the Caregivers to deliver the highest standard of care. I also train CPR to our CAREGivers starting their initial training with us.
The reason I love to work for Home Instead is because once you get to know your clients, it’s like being paid to visit your friends! To be able to assist them in daily tasks such as housework, cooking, personal care and even shopping is very rewarding indeed.
