The South East Northumberland Team
Director - Guy Kirk
Guy was a senior manager of social work services and then an academic before becoming a Home Instead Senior Care owner. He saw the need for a high-quality service supporting older people to remain living at home and, having had three children, he understands how difficult it can be for families who juggle work and caring responsibilities. He also knows that the decision to seek care for your loved ones is often an intensely emotional experience. Having positive relationships with people who care for, and spend time with us is crucial for our health and well-being so Guy was attracted by the ethos of Home Instead where the focus is on the building positive, caring relationships with clients - rather than simply focusing on the task to be carried out. Guy’s role is to build links with local communities, looking for opportunities for Home Instead to contribute to the overall well-being of older people and to develop the business side of the operation, including creating jobs in the community and a great culture where all staff are valued and supported.
Care Manager - Carole Kirk
I am delighted to be taking up the role of Care Manager at Home Instead South East Northumberland and to be joining such a great team of people. Our CAREGivers are second to none and our services focus on making life better for older people in their own homes.
I was attracted by the ethos of Home Instead because I believe that most people want to remain living at home and our service provides support to enable this to happen.
Having qualified as a social worker in 1986 and working for over 20 years in Probation I have strong assessment skills and a passion for working with people. My role involves managing the overall delivery of our service and maintaining the high standards that our clients expect from us.
I am looking forward to working supporting and developing our CAREgivers, creating employment opportunities in our community and building positive relationships with our clients and their families.
