So, what’s the job really about?

Well, imagine popping by to help Mrs. Smith start her day. One moment you’re assisting her out of bed and helping her choose an outfit, and the next, you’re sharing a cuppa and a natter as she enjoys her breakfast.

Later, you might be off to Mr. Jones’ to make sure he’s got his medication sorted and a hot meal on the table. Maybe a quick tidy-up, or a trip to the shops is on the cards as well. But here’s the special bit. You’re not just a helper; you’re a lifeline, a listener, and often, a good laugh!

Our visits are never less than an hour, so you truly have the time to care and ensure all of your clients are comfortable and safe to enable them to stay independent in their own homes.

Well, you’re in luck because Home Instead training is a step above the rest. You don’t need to have worked in care before as we ensure you’re supported at every stage of your journey with us.

And we’re a team that likes to have fun, too. We celebrate each other’s achievements and build friendships over regular fun activities – coffee mornings, parties, group outings, and yes, even a team choir!

• Valued and Rewarded: At Home Instead South Lakes, we recognise the importance of your role and the impact you make on our clients’ lives. You’ll enjoy competitive rates of pay:
  • Competitive starting hourly rates: £17 per hour and double-time on Bank Holidays.
  • PLUS £13.50 for your travel and wait time PLUS paid mileage: We take care of your travel costs, so you can take care of others.
  • Minimum ONE HOUR visits. You are always paid for the FULL hour.
  • Hours that fit your life: Work mornings, evenings, weekdays, or weekends—tailor your schedule to suit. An extra day off on your birthday
