Jag Yogarajah - Owner

Eleven years into a career within the financial industry, I recently had a break to have my second child. During this time I looked into a change in career which would allow me to focus more on changing the lives of people in need. I wanted to show my children what it means to really make a difference on a personal level. 

When I came across Home Instead I knew straight away it was right for me. Every single person within Home Instead that I have met has a compelling passion in their eyes to change the lives of the elderly, and I wanted nothing else but to be a part of that in every possible way. I grew up in a large Indian family where respect and caring for elders was one of the first things I remember being taught, and is one of the key qualities I try to instil in my children. I have also experienced in the case of my grandmother the current shortcomings within the care sector, and I am thankful to have the opportunity to help improve this within Shoreham and the surrounding towns and villages. 

Charlotte Little - Care Manager

I began my career within the Health and Social Care Sector as a carer. I have now gained experience within the NHS, residential care homes and in the community in various roles, and was extremely proud to begin my management career at the age of 25.

Supporting our elderly generation is part of my family dynamic, with both my mother and my grandmother training as nurses, and some of my earliest memories are popping into the care home my grandmother ran.

Having worked in both residential and community settings, I really can see the benefit of supporting people to stay in their homes and this is undoubtedly something I and everyone at Home Instead Shoreham is very passionate about!

Sam Chantry - Recruiter & Trainer

I joined Home Instead in July 2018 as the full time Recruiter & Trainer to support the business in providing further exceptional care to our local clients.

Having previously worked within the recruitment sector, as well as being a CAREGiver on both a professional and personal basis, this role seemed to be a natural fit. I have an insight into all the challenges and successes within the care industry and really want to help make a positive difference.

I have built my career on prividing high standards of service which in turn has enabled me to support business growth through referrals and repeat business. I was attracted to working for Home Instead after speaking with Jag and realising that she has a passion for high standards and also like me has a genuine care for people.

When not at work you will find me on long walks with my dogs, tending to my garden and mixing with my large family.

Lucy Sackett - Office Administrator

I joined the Home Instead team in November 2017 as the team administrator. I work in the office supporting all aspects of the business, helping to ensure day to day productivity.

After 10 years’ experience working in the recruitment and training industry I was ready for a change of course, and my long-standing interest in care put me in the direction of Home Instead Shoreham. I was attracted to their ethos and commitment to provide the best quality care within the community. I have always felt strongly about my own family members remaining independent, and it is a discussion myself and my loved-ones have had many times. I feel I have found my calling in the care industry as I love helping others and I love the feeling that I am changing peoples’ lives for the better.

I love working at Home Instead since day one as the whole team are so friendly and supportive. I really enjoy coming to work and every day brings something different.

Dee Crocker - Senior CAREGiver

Hiya I'm Dee, I have worked in care for 7 years now and had become very disgruntled and disappointed with the care system and quality of care in my local area so I went  in search of a career change when I came across an advert for Home Instead Senior Care.

I filled out the online application and was offered an interview. On attending the interview I must be honest, I was very guarded and sceptical and I remember saying "how can a company be what they claim to be?". I completed their training and was very impressed. I joined the team as a CAREGiver in 2017 and I can happily say they are everything they claim to be, and have restored my belief in the care system.   

At the beginning of July I was offered the chance to further my career, training and knowledge with a Senior CAREGiver position, I accepted without hesitation and I'm finding it really rewarding, we really can make a difference every day.

We pride ourselves in making sure that our CAREGivers receive the highest quality training, with the ability to progress within their roles and into other roles within the business if they so wish. Home Instead Senior Care has also received numerous awards for being one of the best companies to work in within care. The key focus within Home Instead is companionship, recognising that often clients want to enjoy someone's company engaging in their favourite hobbies for example, however the service can also include home help such as meal preparation and helping with daily living routines.
