When it came to celebrating his first year in business, local Waltham Forest care provider, Ben Barraco of Home Instead Senior Care, made sure his clients joined in the team’s celebrations when he took them on a shopping day out at the Selbourne Walk shopping centre.

Ben who owns and runs the Waltham Forest care operation was delighted to have notched up his first year in business. Over the past 12 months his company has helped to support an ever growing number of local residents with a variety of everyday needs helping them to remain independent in their own homes. Demand for the service has been high and as a result the company now employs over 25 caregivers who work varied hours from full time to just a few hours a week.

One of the clients to benefit from the day out was local resident Stella aged 88. She said “I had a lovely day, thank you so much for this treat”. The Home Instead team enjoyed the trip out too, commenting, caregiver Mary Pearson said “The day was really enjoyable, it’s very rewarding making a difference to people’s daily lives”.

Commenting on the birthday, Ben said “It is a privilege to care for so many people like Stella.  When we set up the business just over 12 months ago it was our wish to have a business that would put us at the heart of the community and to make a real difference to the lives of others and that’s exactly the situation we find ourselves in.”
