We have tried working with different agencies in the past and had poor results. I now have a regular person who visits at the right time, is friendly chatty and supportive, it makes the world of difference having that certainty,we have found a good service at last.
CQC Report: Respecting and involving people who use this service
There was good evidence within the records seen to show people using the service were 'matched' with suitable Caregivers in order to promote compatibility. For example, one client had been 'matched' with a Caregiver who could converse in her native language, which was considered to be good practice. Another person had indicated they preferred female Caregivers and this request had been accommodated. Records showed the service was flexible, so that people using the agency were able to alter the times of their visits, if they wished to do so and their requests were accommodated. Policies and procedures were in place in relation to autonomy, privacy, dignity, equal opportunities and independence and people we spoke with told us they were always respected by kind and polite staff. One person commented, "They (the staff) have been really good up to now" and another told us, "It is very good at the moment. I have only been using the service for a short time but I have no complaints so far. I like it because I get the same person coming on each visit and she is very nice."

I have gone through quite a few agencies before finding Home Instead Senior Care. They deliver the care as agreed the way I want it, they are open friendly and flexible, I get the same carer at the time agreed for the time agreed.
