Home Instead National Day of Reflection

Yesterday we joined the rest of the UK in marking the National #DayOfReflection. This a day to remember those who have passed away and support those who have been negatively affected by Covid19.

Marie Curie from the End of Life charity is the force behind the day, the date chosen due to it being the anniversary of the UK first going in to national lock-down on 23rd March 2020. The charity estimates that over three million people have been bereaved since the start of the pandemic. It has been particularly difficult for those who have been unable to say goodbye to loved ones in the way they wished.

Many people across the Home Instead franchise network have been personally affected, whether that’s through losing family, friends or colleagues. It was a difficult day for us all as we reflect on all who were lost.

As a home care company, it has been a challenging year keeping our lovely clients safe. Our CAREGivers have gone above and beyond to ensure that clients stay physically and mentally well during what could easily be a worrying and lonely time for them, this is portrayed by 97% of our clients telling us they felt our CAREGivers kept them safe through the pandemic. Our CAREGivers have shown true dedication and we are grateful to each and every one of them.
