Being a CAREGiver
A trip to the shops, Some help with my socks,
Reading a book, Help me reach that tall hook,
Some help round my house, Since I lost my dear spouse
Now where are my glasses, Do you know where my hat is?
Let's look through my albums, Remember my grandsons,
Help with my buttons, How old are your loved ones?
Let's do some baking, Gingerbread making,
Remember my pills, And my blanket for chills,
You’re my companion and friend, A total godsend!
Could you be this friend to an older person? If you can picture it you probably already have all the skills necessary to make an amazing difference to someone's life. Pick up the phone and find out about what possibly might be the most rewarding part time work you may ever do. Call Dave or Lorraine on 01462 600462 to learn why.
Home Instead has recognised and provided a perfect match between my mother and her carer. Although not too elderly or infirm, mum needed company and stimulus and an understanding of her newly diagnosed dementia. Home Instead has literally given my mum a new lease of life and a new friend and I cannot rate them highly enough for the time and empathy they have given her. I do and will continue to recommend them to anyone I know who may benefit from their services.Ms G.T - Shefford
