An award winning service which allows elderly people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible, is celebrating its second year in business in Brentwood.
With the country’s elderly population growing at an ever-increasing rate* and social care budgets under review, demand for Home Instead’s service is on the increase.
Local Upminster man, Steve Willoughby owns the business and now, two years after opening, he employs over 40 members providing at-home care across the local community.
Steve originally opened the business as he was passionate about making a difference to the lives of others in the local area. Since then his hard work has put Home Instead firmly at the heart of his local community.
The team takes part in a range of charity and fundraising events and regularly accompanies clients to medical appointments, on shopping trips, running errands and even on social visits to see family and friends.
Steve is extremely proud of his dedicated and hardworking team of caregivers who provide a range of services which can include helping around the home, meal preparation, personal care, respite provision as well as specialist assistance with dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
“I’m very lucky to have seen the business grow and grow since opening,” said Steve who goes on to add “it’s extremely rewarding when you come away from a day at work knowing that you have made a difference. The feedback I have received from clients and caregivers has been truly uplifting and it is clear that our clients are thrilled with the service that we offer.”
