Tracey free falls for the falls prevention service

Local Walton-on-the-Naze woman, Tracey Wright, who works for Home Instead, one of the UK's leading at-home care companies has been raising money this month through Age UK for the Falls Prevention Service by skydiving from 10,000 feet.

Tracey, 46, raised £140 when she took to the skies from Beccles Heliport.

She experienced an exciting free fall for 5000 feet which took only 90 seconds before the parachute opened and she floated back down to earth. When Tracey isn't free falling she works very closely with the older people of Frinton on Sea which is why the Falls Prevention Service is a charity close to her heart.

At Home Instead Tracey's role is varied and includes scheduling visits to clients offering services such as companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, post—discharge care, medication reminders, shopping and errands. She is also the finance officer as well as providing care herself as a caregiver.

Commenting, Tracey said 'I will definitely be doing it again in aid of the Falls Prevention Service; they do a great job alongside the NHS in advising older people and reducing the risk for older people from falling. Next year I will be encouraging the team to join me. The skydive was such an exhilarating experience and after the parachute opened I could begin to really enjoy the beautiful view!'
