We are thrilled to announce our 13th CQC Outstanding rating, received this week by Claire and Bill Percy at our Farnborough, Farnham and Fleet office in Hampshire.
This rating places the couple’s business, and those of our other Outstanding offices, in a very special category as only 1% of adult care services inspected have received this highest of ratings.
This 13th CQC report is full of uplifting comments from the CQC inspectors, clients, their families, CAREGivers and office staff plus local health professionals.
The comment that Claire and Bill were most proud of (and we love it too) is one made by the inspectors which speaks of a ‘golden thread’ running through the business. The extract reads as follows: ‘A model of personalised and compassionate care, which is focused on the whole person, is a golden thread that ran through the whole of the service. This thread stems from the providers’ passion and vision of placing people at the heart of the service.
What a lovely and fitting description of the quality care provided by this office which was set up by the husband and wife team in 2012.
The couple was inspired to become involved in home care having experienced difficulty caring for Bill’s mother when she was diagnosed with dementia. They realised how important it was to have quality support for loved ones but struggled to find it.
On hearing about Home Instead and its commitment to changing the face of ageing in the UK, they were really keen to get involved and set up their business in Farnborough, servicing clients in the Farnborough, Farnham, Aldershot and Fleet areas.
Speaking about the rating, Claire said, “We are delighted to have received this recognition from the CQC which confirms to us that we are getting it right.
“I would like to thank our clients and their families for their generous and lovely comments.
“Special thanks go to our fabulous caregivers without whom our service would not be possible. We appreciate their dedication and commitment and are so pleased to have so many lovely people working with us.”
Commenting on the report, Martin Jones, Managing Director of Home Instead said, “I never tire of reading the glowing comments in these reports.
“Claire and Bill drew inspiration for their business having had first hand experience of having to cope with a loved family member whose health was in decline.
“They put their heart and souls into the business and this shines through. They are very
deserving of this tremendous accolade.”
