New home for Home Instead

Good news on the jobs front from a local care provider specialising in the care of adults in their own homes.  Due to continuing expansion and the promise of 40 more jobs in the pipeline, the Macclesfield office of Home Instead has moved to impressive, more centrally located premises at Tytherington Old Hall just outside Macclesfield town centre.

Home Instead are now housed in the historic Grade 2 listed building on Dorchester Way which dates back to 1700 and was, most recently, the former headquarters of the Ladies European Golf Tour.

The building has been tastefully refurbished and offers excellent scope to meet the needs of this expanding care business which provides ‘at-home care’ for adults in Macclesfield, Prestbury, Wilmslow, Poynton, Congleton and the surrounding areas.
Business owners Steve and Julie Akroyd set up Home Instead at the beginning of 2007 and say that the business is continuing to grow and demand for its services is very high.  The new offices will enable them to train more Caregivers in-house and provide an even better working environment for their team.  Steve explains: “Aside from the obvious visual impact of Tytherington Old Hall, we have created a designated staff training room and chill out area for our staff to relax together as well as separate offices to give us privacy when required.”

He continues; “I am delighted with our new home because it puts us closer to the centre of the community that we serve. This is a huge step forward for the business as the offices provide so much more space for further expansion as we are on course to recruit 40 more Caregivers over the next few months.  We are offering training for Caregivers now and we want reliable, compassionate people who have a genuine desire to help improve the lives of older people to get in touch.”

Home Instead is rapidly building a reputation as one of the UK’s leading at -home care companies. Their service is tailored to the needs of individual clients and ranges from companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, post-discharge care, medication reminders, shopping and errands to personal care. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
