Meet our CAREGivers…
As part of #YouCanCare Week 2020, we’re highlighting some of our wonderful CAREGivers who work tirelessly day in, day out to care for our clients.
You Can Care Like…
58-year-old Rosemary is a CAREGiver at Home Instead Tavistock and Tamar Valley and joined last year. “Rosemary is an exceptional CAREGiver who is compassionate and empathic in the way she supports clients live their best life,” said Lynn Roddy who runs the office. “Rosemary lights up peoples’ lives with her warmth and sincerity.
“All the team members, clients and their families think very highly of Rosemary as she is so thoughtful, friendly and understanding,” Lynn added. “We are so grateful for Rosemary’s outstanding contribution in care this year.”
82-year-old Mike retired from running his own embroidery business aged 77 but found himself wanting to earn some extra money whilst keeping himself active outside of his busy family life. The CAREGiver from the Weston-super Mare office is passionate about his role which varies from personal care and home help to companionship.
“You can see the real dedication in everything Mike does,” said Mike Keig who runs Home Instead Weston super Mare. “He is so caring, kind and really goes that extra mile to help clients. For example, one gentleman hadn’t been able to get out of the house and Mike drove him to visit places in the local area which brought him fond memories.”
42-year-old Salima is a CAREGiver at our Wembley office and came to the role from her job at a local supermarket. “When I interviewed Salima, I knew she would be the perfect CAREGiver because her warmth and compassion shone through,” said Leena Lakhani from Home Instead Wembley. “She was new to care but has flourished into an amazing CAREGiver who has given so much to her clients in so many ways.
“Salima’s clients are all drawn to her warm, bubbly nature,” Leena added. “She makes them feel at ease and encourages them to do activities they thought they could no longer do. One particular client, who lost his wife recently, looks forward to Salima visiting him as she helps him around his home, particularly with mending his clothes.”
These are just some of our wonderful and inspiring CAREGivers working at Home Instead!
