The local office of at-home care company, Home Instead, held a special celebration last week (Friday 20th May) to officially celebrate their move to Tytherington Old Hall in Macclesfield.
The event not only played host to Home Instead elderly clients and their families, but also welcomed a few familiar faces from the local community. Cheshire East’s new Mayor, Roger West, who was making his inaugural engagement and local Conservative MP David Rutley were both present to mark the occasion.
Roger and David both praised the service provided by Home Instead and spoke of the need for quality care services.
Commenting on Home Instead’s work, David said: “Do we need services like Home Instead’s today? Absolutely. Will we need these services in the future? Absolutely.”
The Home Instead team, led by business owners Julie and Steve Akroyd, were joined by their office team and Caregivers to raise a toast to their new premises. Due to the nature of this impressive Grade 2 listed building, the team celebrated accordingly by dressing in Tudor costume for the occasion. The VIP visitors chatted happily to the many Home Instead clients attending the opening celebration and shared in a tasty buffet.
Steve and Julie say the new offices will enable them to train more Caregivers in-house and provide an even better working environment for their team and were both thrilled with how well the event went. Steve commented: “We are delighted with our new home because it puts us closer to the centre of the community that we serve and this is something that definitely calls for a celebration. This has been a fantastic day and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us to help celebrate this momentous occasion.”
