Home Instead in Chester is delighted to announce a new addition to their team. Twenty three year old Heather Cameron joined Home Instead at the beginning of June and is currently working full time to achieve an Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration, Level 3.
Heather previously worked as a nursery nurse for four years before qualifying with an NVQ in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. She is now keen to improve her knowledge of business.
Her role at Home Instead includes helping with administration tasks, aiding other members of staff with their roles and she is responsible for keeping the caregiver files up to date.
Commenting on her new position, Heather said: “My favourite part about the job is working in a team and having the chance to organise new, exciting things. Although I have only been here a month I have already learnt so much. I am learning key skills such as how to advertise with business, scheduling, learning about finance, networking and communication skills. Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful and I really love it here.”
Heather lives in the centre of Chester and outside of work has a new 8 month old puppy who is currently taking up a lot of her spare time! Puppy aside, Heather is hoping to complete her Apprenticeship in 9 months’ time and is looking forward to a future in business.
