Home Instead serves up healthy living

The Home Instead Team in Rochdale has been exhibiting at a series of “Healthy Over 50s” events in Middleton organised to raise awareness of the importance of healthy living. The latest exhibition took place on the17th June at the Stanycliffe Social Centre and saw the team meet local mayor Mr Alan Godson whilst working with other organisations to advocate healthy life choices for older people.

Rochdale’s Care Manager Catherine Halliday (pictured) was thrilled to meet with the Mayor at the event, and Mr Alan Godson was keen to show his support for the local at-home care company.

Commenting, Home Instead owner David Bradshaw states:  “The event was a huge success and it was great to see so many people come along to pick up some information or even just to have a chat. Obviously meeting the mayor was just the cherry on the cake for us!”

Home Instead exhibited alongside various health organisations providing information and raising awareness about a range of issues including: bone density checks, regular dental appointments, caring for your feet, and the importance of maintaining a healthy weight.

The Home Instead team are already planning to attend their next event which will be the Rochdale Jobs & Skills Fare taking place on 29th September at the Rochdale Town Hall.
