Home Instead makes 430 cakes for charity!

Home Instead in Sutton Coldfield attended Canwell Show on the 6th August to not only meet with members of the local community, but also to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The team gave themselves the huge task of baking cakes on an almost industrial scale to sell to visitors at the show and raised £305 for the charity, a fabulous total and one which involved a fair bit of hard work, but it was all for a good cause.

Sally Clough owner of Home Instead and ‘Head Baker’ was delighted and commented: “Canwell Show is always a busy event and it was great to be able to take part this year, especially as we were able to raise money for a cause so close to our hearts. We had a great day and met some wonderful people who made a donation and by all accounts the cakes went down a treat! People were interested to know about the support that we provide to older local residents in their own homes, and we also created a lot of awareness about the Alzheimer’s Society”.
