Home Instead in Rochdale marked Older People’s Day this year by baking cakes for the elderly community.
Home Instead owner, David Bradshaw enlisted the help of his daughter, Abigail, who managed to fit in baking the cakes around studying for her upcoming A level exams.
The pair then delivered the cakes to the elderly in the local community. Residents at Meavy View Residential Care Home in Rochdale thoroughly enjoyed the sweet treats. One lady commented, “It is a lovely surprise. And delicious!”
David commented, “Delivering the cakes to the elderly was a lovely way to celebrate Older People’s Day. They were all so pleased to see us and the cakes of course!”
