Home Instead announces Think Jessica partnership

08 January 2014

Home Instead has today announced that it is working with national charity, Think Jessica, as part of its Senior Fraud Protection Programme. This national charity campaigns to raise awareness of fraud against the elderly and works to support families who have been affected.

The charity is supported by a number of large national organisations including Action Fraud, SOCA (Serious Organised Crime Agency) – recently replaced by the National Crime Agency - and the Metropolitan Police.

The at-home care company will be helping to raise awareness of Think Jessica and help to communicate their messages to older people across the country.

Think Jessica was founded by Marilyn Baldwin, who was awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List for her campaign against fraud. She found the charity in memory of her mother who was targeted by scammers and suffered at the hands of fraudsters who tricked her in to parting with thousands of pounds.

Speaking of working with Home Instead, Marilyn said, “We are delighted to have Home Instead’s support for the work we are doing. They will help to spread the word to senior citizens and educate them and their families about the dangers of falling victim to scammers.”
