Double Outstanding for ‘Golden’ team

Home Instead Senior Care in Telford, Bridgnorth, Market Drayton & Newport has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the second time in just three years, with leaders described as delivering ‘high quality, person-centred care.’

In 2010, Jenny and Jason Warren launched Home Instead in the local community, a personalised in-home care service, with an overwhelming desire to ‘make a difference to people in a positive way.’

During the latest inspection, inspectors interviewed staff, clients and client families and the resulting report on Home Instead states that ‘people were truly at the heart of everything the service did’. Inspectors also documented that staff ‘went over and above their job roles which demonstrated their kindness and consideration for the people they supported.’

The level of care provided, and the highly motivated staff are praised throughout the report. One client said, “CAREGivers are kind, considerate and respectful; everything you could wish for. The team is golden.”

Many examples of compassion, kindness, dignity and respect are shared in the report. In one instance, a client was having difficulty communicating after a stroke. Staff spent time looking at ways to reduce periods of distress and anxiety and this had resulted in a great improvement in the client’s speech and they were soon able to communicate their needs to their CAREGivers. 

Staff morale was reported as ‘exceptionally good’ with one CAREGiver saying, “I love my job and my clients. I am supported in my job from management to office staff to my fellow CAREGivers.” Another CAREGiver said, “I just love working here. There is nowhere else like it. This is a very progressive company where all the staff are valued, and we all strive to make sure our clients get the very best.

Of the double ‘Outstanding’ accreditation, Jenny and Jason Warren said, “We are so proud of our incredible team for working so hard each day for our clients in the local community. We knew they were outstanding even before our first inspection in 2017 but to have this confirmed and now reconfirmed by the industry’s governing body is just fantastic.

“We love caring for others and we know that with the right support, people can live in their own home, safe and well. The past 10 years have been amazing, and we are looking forward to the next 10 years, meeting more wonderful clients, developing more amazing CAREGivers, and really changing the face of ageing.”
