Double dose of charity for Jenny

Community service coordinator Jenny Wardle from Home Instead Senior Care in Leicester is currently in training for the third and fourth of her five sponsored charity events this year. On 18th September Jenny will take part in a 12 mile Walk on the Wild Side fundraiser for LOROS before beginning the Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s Society later that afternoon at Abbey Park.

Take a Walk on the Wild Side is an event which has been organised by the LOROS, a local hospice catering for those in the Leicestershire and Rutland area. The annual sponsored Countryside Walk will take place in Charnwood and Bradgate Park and will begin at 9.30am on September 18th. Jenny will be wearing badge number 1546 if you would like to go down and cheer her on!

Once Jenny has just had chance to catch her breath, she will be entering another charity event later the very same day: the Memory Walk in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. This will begin at  Abbey Park is a two and a half mile walk to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society and also raise awareness of this worthy cause that is close to Jenny’s heart.

So far this year, Jenny has already raised £85 for MS society during the Home Instead Leicester Fun Day, over £60 for Rainbow Hospice in a walk for life and nearly £300 in the Fabulous Four’s Race for Life only last month.
