Cuddly Collie cross is new care dog in training

Mutley, the 6 month old Red Setter and Border Collie cross is next in line to join the at-home care team for local company Home Instead Senior Care in Southport.

Born and bred as part of the Home Instead family, Mutley came from a gorgeous litter of pups belonging to Finance Co-ordinator Janet Baldwin. Although Mutley is only young, he is already showing signs of being the perfect pat dog.

Home Instead owner Irene Hough commented: “Mutley is very affectionate and cuddly but he is still young and therefore a little over-excitable at times. I am very excited to put him through the training when he is old enough as he is such a lovable dog and is very sweet-natured and sociable.”

She continued: “It is great to see the positive impact Mutley can have on people and I cannot wait to introduce him to our clients. I recently visited a friend in sheltered accommodation and took Mutley along with me.  One 90 year old lady saw him and said he reminded her of her childhood dog and immediately sat down on the floor and started to cuddle him.  It is great to see how much happiness he can bring! “
