A team from the Brentwood office of care company, Home Instead, joined many other fundraisers last Sunday 18th September, to step out at the Weald Country Park Memory Walk in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
The Home Instead team of 12 took part in the walk with around other fundraisers at the annual event. The care company were looking to beat last years total of £500.00.
Commenting on the walk, owner of Home Instead in Brentwood, Steve Willoughby said: “The setting for the walk was simply stunning and we all thoroughly enjoyed taking a brisk stroll in landscape inspired by Capability Brown for such a great cause.
“The Memory Walk is now a firm fixture on our calendar and the funds we have raised will help the Alzheimer’s Society in their fight against dementia.”
Home Instead specialises in providing care for older people in their own homes and as well as supporting the walk, Home Instead was invited to take a stand at the event to help spread the word about the work they do caring for elderly people in the local community which includes a range of specialised Alzheimer’s and dementia care services.
