Ada the miniature dachshund is the newest addition to the K9 team in the office – she loves making friends, she likes running around the office and distracting everyone, and of course, being the centre of attention!

Hi, I am Karen and very excited and proud to be opening our Newport office with my daughter Laura. I am thrilled to have the opportunity in the community that I have grown up in to be able to make a difference to the lives of the elderly by helping them remain in their own home for as long as possible. Having experienced caring for a close family member I know exactly how important good heartfelt care is.
I have spent 20 happy years working in a family business alongside my husband Paul and my father Tony. I was responsible for the financial planning and daily accounting of the business.
I was attracted to Home Instead Senior Care for its compassion, high quality care and its ethos where the focus is on building a caring trusting relationship between the client and our CAREGiver.

Hi, I’m Laura, not only am I looking forward to working with my mum, but being new to care I’m excited to meet new people and have a positive impact on the lives of lots of elderly people across Newport.
Having seen the impact good quality care can have on somebody’s mental and physical health has shown me the importance of it, and inspired me to ensure we provide the best quality care in Newport, to the people who not only need it, but deserve it.
Having lived in Newport my whole life, and from talking to people across several villages in Newport I can feel the strong sense of community, and it is evident that people care about the elderly in their area, and I’m truly excited to get involved and help out within the community.
Rachel Roberts - Admin
Hi, I’m Rachel, I have two daughters aged 24 and 13, and am engaged to be married this year.
I have spent the majority of my career in sales until last year where my fiancé & I decided to open up our own decorating shop.
I wanted to do something completely different in my job role, I heard that Home Instead Senior Care were employing Caregivers on a part time basis as well as a part time administrator, I was offered both roles which I was very pleased about as it means I get the best of both worlds. Being a part time CAREGiver allows me to spend more time with elderly people, and I really enjoy listening to stories about their interesting lives.
I am also working part time as an administrator in our Rogerstone office, it’s a completely different role for me but one that I am learning as I go along and the team I work with are so friendly and very helpful in showing me the ropes, I’m really enjoying it.
