A local home care company specialising in the care of older people, has this week announced the creation of 25 new jobs due to demand for their specialist Alzheimer’s and other dementias care services.
Home Instead Senior Care in Swansea introduced the specialist CAREGiver training programme, developed by a team of world-renowned ageing and dementia specialists, in order to cope with the growing number of elderly people living with Alzheimer’s disease or another forms of dementia.
The training programme was developed especially for Home Instead Senior Care whose CAREGivers provide at-home care for older people, enabling them to remain in their own homes for longer than would otherwise be possible. Home Instead are the only home care provider in the country to have received accreditation from City & Guilds for a dementia training programme.
Commenting, owner Ben Ruddle, said, “With our ageing population, caring for the elderly has never been a more important issue and we have found many people are grateful to learn that we can provide a range of specialist services, in particular that of Alzheimer’s and other dementias care, in the comfort of our clients homes. As word continues to spread, we have gained many new clients in the area, and as a result we are actively looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our lovely team of CAREGivers.
“Our CAREGivers are an extremely valuable part of our team and come from a hugely varied background but the one thing they all have in common is their passion for helping others and caring for people in our local community. We provide all the necessary training and are a friendly, supportive team so professional experience is not essential. If would like to find out more, then we want to hear from you!”
