Be A Santa To A Senior

Sainsbury’s Marina, Swansea on December 5th 2014 – 10:30 am until 4 pm

A Heart-warming initiative is being launched in Swansea this Christmas, It’s called ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ and the aim is to ensure that older people in our community, who would otherwise not receive a gift this Christmas, receive one this year.

The way it works is simple – we ask local retailers to display a ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ Christmas tree. The tree is decorated with gift tags which identify the name of a local person and the gift they would enjoy receiving.  Members of the public can then buy the named gift and leave it with the retailer for collection.

We are already busy working with local charities and local authorities to identify people in our community who would benefit from the scheme and are approaching local retailers to get involved.

We feel with the right support we can make a real difference to the lives of many elderly people in our community and make this wonderful initiative a great success!

If you would like to help us by distributing gifts, making a donation, wrapping presents or in any other way, we would be most grateful of your involvement.
