In the UK 3 out of 5 individuals will provide care for a senior loved one. In a nutshell, caregiving is anything you do that enhances the quality of life for seniors and helps keep them independent. If you're an individual who cares for a loved one 24/7, it's probably not difficult to see yourself as a family caregiver. Caregiving as a career encompasses many of these activities and more including:
• Planning and preparing meals
• Light housekeeping
• Medication reminders
• Running errands
• Engaging in activities like games, memory books, and light exercise.
Most importantly professional caregiving allows you to build on the skills you already have to develop a fulfilling, rewarding career helping seniors live rich, independent lives.
We employ part time generally (16 hours) but we sometimes have a 25 hour plus role available,
We offer all the support and training you need, a competitive rate of pay and a range of benefits including holiday pay. You do need to be a Car driver.

Our mother's request was to return home on discharge from hospital after having had a terminal illness diagnosis, aged almost 99 years of age and as a family we were faced with very emotional and difficult decisions regarding her care at home. Home Instead Milton Keynes were appointed to provide the care package to support the family and our experiences, from day one, with the managers and caregivers was very positive and they always demonstrated a professional but very personal approach to the often unpleasant tasks undertaken, always gently treating our mother with huge respect. Mum felt very safe and comfortable with the caregivers and looked forward to their visits, in our case that was four times each day and, when it became necessary the transition from single handed to double handed attendance was seamless. Always punctual and apparently unhurried in the delivery of their services the carers really did 'care' for Mum and they became our friends because they empathised with the family's situation and supported and encouraged us to be strong in what was a really difficult time for us all. We all felt that Mum was always treated with the respect that she deserved and in the way that we, as a close and caring family, had reasonably expected. The caregivers were, in our eyes, very special people and the structure of Home Instead Milton Keynes seemed to support and monitor all the activities. Based on our experiences we would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead as an efficient, effective and professional care service provider. This is not an advertisement for Home Instead but rather a sincere testimonial from an ordinary family who have experienced their actions.Mr GB - Bletchley
