Christmas carols bring joy to one and all in Lytham

Children at the Ansdell nursery of Happy Days Childcare brought a little festive cheer to clients at Home Instead Senior Care this week by performing a variety of classic Christmas carols from their recent nativity play.

In addition to the beautifully performed carols, which saw the children gather angelically around the nursery’s Christmas tree, all who attended were welcomed with mince pies and cups of tea and coffee.

The event, which was a collaboration between Ansdell nursery and Lytham based at-home care company, Home Instead Senior Care, was the perfect way in which to bring together two local generations to share in the festive spirit.

Happy Day’s Nursery Manager Jo Thomas, explained, “We were keen to invite older people from our community to join in with our Christmas celebrations and contacted Home Instead to see if any of their clients would like to attend. The ladies who joined us were delighted to hear the children sing and it goes without saying that the children relished the opportunity to perform their nativity songs once again.

Home Instead Senior Care Registered Manager Sophie Hoyle commented, ''Everyone really enjoyed their afternoon and got right into the Christmassy mood. It is important younger people share this wonderful time with the older people in the community. ”
