I can truly say I love my job - can you?
I have worked for Home Instead for over two years and wanted to tell you that I never thought that I would have a job that I don't mind getting up in the morning to do. On Tuesday, I was lucky to take one of our elderly clients to a garden centre, we had a lovely walk as she browsed around the plants and flowers. Afterwards we had a cup of tea and talked about her family, her life as a mother and how she loves dancing. We both had a lovely morning and she was able to get out into the fresh air. On Thursday, I took one of our elderly clients for a stroll along the river and we took a pit stop at a local pub over lunch. He was happy to get out into the sunshine and enjoyed having someone to chat to along the way. I love how I can keep someone company and help to brighten their day. It's lots better than sitting behind a desk or stacking shelves all day. If you want a job like mine - one that doesn't feel like work at all - why not become a CAREGiver? The rewards you get are not just financial - you will feel like you are making a real difference to someone else's life as well as your own. I didn't work in care before I started with Home Instead but thanks to their training I now have lots of new skills. They are also giving me the opportunity to study towards care qualifications. The people that we visit live in the Guildford and Woking areas and so it's easy for me to drive to them in my car. I'm being really honest when I say that I love my job and only wish I had worked in care sooner! Just give Hazel a call on 01483 488222 - she's really friendly and will be able to tell you all about Home Instead and how this job could be the start of something new and inspiring for you.
