  • CAREGiver Supervisor

    Home Instead Senior Care Glasgow North are looking for a motivated individual to join our management team as a CAREGiver Supervisor . As an established office of the successful Home Instead Senior Care franchise we supply person centred and bespoke care services to our clients across the North Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire area. As a CAREGiver Supervisor you will be commercially aware and be proud to represent us and be an ambassador for our high quality services we provide and you will strongly want to be part of our organisation. Your role is to lead and provide support to our team of CAREGivers. The office is based in Milngavie , and your role will involve a mixture of office based commercial and administration work, care co-ordination and field work which can mean travelling across the territory therefore being a car driver is essential. Primarily you will be based in the office however due to the nature of the care setting environment you will need to be flexible in your approach to working patterns. We will require the suitable candidate to hold a minimum SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have at least 3 years experience in the care sector. This role would ideally suit a Senior Carer looking to move into an office management position. You must have experience of supervising care staff. Your job will entail: Supervision of our team of field based CAREGivers Delivery of CAREGiver Training Meeting CAREGiver HR needs General office administration and supporting daily business needs CAREGiver Supervision and appraisals Job Description Supervise, mentor and support CAREGivers Perform regular CAREGiver supervisions, appraisals and support visits Create and deliver training plans for CAREGivers Deliver induction and ongoing training as required to CAREGivers Meet the needs of CAREGivers SSSC registration and ongoing training requirements Create and deliver an ongoing Retention Programme for CareGivers Participate in on-call duties as required Provide support to the office based Care Team as required Follow disciplinary procedures as required   Person Specification Car Driver and have access to own vehicle Previous experience in a care setting and preferably a supervisory based role Exceptional record keeping Organised with good literacy skills Good IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Genuinely passionate about delivering high quality care Excellent communication skills Required Qualifications 3+ years experience in a care environment Experience of Moving and Handling techniques Effective written and verbal communication Ability to multi task and work independently Available to do on call as required Minimum SVQ Health and Social Care Level 3 Complex elderly care experience (to include stand aids, hoists, catheter care) preferred Must have full clean driving licence and own car.
