Victoria Rigby

Hello, I’m Victoria the owner of Home Instead Senior Care in Epping. After graduating from university I worked in the finance sector for a large corporate organisation. I made the move to the care sector after learning about Home Instead from my dad; I was attracted to the ethos of Home Instead and wanted to do something that was both worthwhile to others and provide me with a vocation I could be proud of. I worked for Home Instead Senior Care UK as a Business Performance Manager for 3 years before becoming a franchise owner.

I passionately believe in the Home Instead mission to change the face of ageing. I have seen first-hand how Home Instead can make a real difference to people’s lives in their own homes, as well as providing employment opportunities for the local community.

My role is to build relationships with local providers and organisations; look for opportunities for Home Instead to contribute to the local community and to manage the business side of the operation.

I have a one year old daughter, Annabel and a cockapoo, Bess so my husband and myself spend most of our spare time doing family things. We enjoy family walks and trips out. I also enjoy skiing, this year we introduced Annabel to tobogganing and she loved it!


Debbie Dore - Officer Responsible for Training, Standards and Staff Mentoring

I started working for Home Instead as a CAREGiver. I really enjoyed meeting a number of different clients and making a difference to their lives. I feel that since becoming a CAREGiver I have become a better person, more caring and aware of people’s feelings.

When Victoria offered me a role as care co-ordinator I was thrilled, I enjoyed, matching clients to CAREGivers and ensuring all client calls were correctly scheduled.

I have now taken on new responsibilities for training, standards and staff mentoring. I have been on several training courses myself to enable me to do this new role and I am very excited about this essential, challenging, role.

I have two young children, Maggie and Freddie, who keep me very busy! If I do have any spare time I enjoy running, I do the Race for Life every year for Cancer Research.

Penny Allan – Officer Responsible for Standards and Staff Mentoring

After having worked 25 years full time as a distribution manager I decided it was time for a change! I started as a CAREGiver a few hours a week and feel I have been very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time, in my new role I will be part time office based working alongside Debbie ensuring all office standards and procedures are correctly applied and that staff are mentored to ensure they are happy in their role and the support they are given.

In my spare time I like to exercise I try and do a short routine every morning. We have a chocolate Labrador called Ruby so we go for long walks together it is a great way to keep fit.

Emma Hambleton –Senior CAREGiver

Emma started as a CAREGiver two years ago and has created strong bonds with her clients. Earlier this year she accompanied a client on a visit to her son by private jet! She has been promoted to a Senior CAREGiver and as such Emma works 2 days a week supporting Sean. She carries out QA’s and service reviews with clients to ensure we are giving clients the best service and that they are happy with this service. Emma is also responsible for updating the care plans for any changes noted in these meetings.

In addition to this Emma also works as a CAREGiver to her clients.

Emma is a busy lady as she manages working for Home Instead with bringing up her son 18 year old Dylan and her 9 year old daughter Charlie. Currently most of her spare time is spent driving Charlie round various sporting venues for swimming, trampolining, gymnastics the list goes on!


We have a new addition to the team. Her name is Bess and she is a cockapoo. She will be in the office most days. She is adorable and loves attention so if you are in Epping with a few spare minutes feel free to pop in and see us all and meet her. Bess loves paperwork she is particularly good at shredding!

Jennifer Rigby

Hello, I’m Jennifer the accountant and payroll clerk (along with being Victoria’s Mother!)

I am a Chartered Accountant and have been involved in working with small businesses for many years.

I embrace Home Instead’s ethos, it is based on going the extra mile and providing a holistic approach to care. We provide the very best level of service on a completely personalised basis, which is exactly what I would want for anyone in my own family.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking our dog, Tikki, a  boisterous gordon setter!

Veronika Botlikova – South Team Office Manager

 I started working for Home Instead as a CAREGiver, a role I found very fulfilling. Victoria then offered me a full time office role. It is such a great company to work for, your talents are noted, encouraged and developed.

I was firstly made responsible for all standards, training and staff mentoring, a role I did for approximately a year and now I have been given a new role as office manager for the south. I feel with all the experience I have gained so far I will be well placed to carry out this role successfully. I now work closely with the schedulers, Vicky and the seniors to ensure our clients receive the very best service.

In my spare time I like to keep fit I enjoy going to the gym and walking my little dog Peppy.

Jennifer Freshwater - Recruitment & Client services North team

Hello, I’m Jennifer. I originally joined Home Instead as a part time CAREGiver and then progressed to a full time position in the office as care coordinator. I really enjoyed this role and had the opportunity to train as a trainer for the City and Guilds Alzheimers award and also I have trained as a trainer for manual handling. I really enjoyed getting involved with the training and building my skills and knowledge.

I am passionate about helping senior people continue to live in their own homes for as long as possible..  

I was delighted to be offered the role of recruitment and client services manager for the north area of Epping Forest. I will be able to build on the relationships I have already made with the CAREGivers, recruit new CAREGivers and help develop their skills. I will also be carrying out service calls for new clients and helping match their needs to our CAREGivers.
Having started working for Home Instead as a CAREGiver, I have seen first-hand how Home Instead can make a difference to people’s lives. I have developed a passion for good quality care. Through the relationships I have with my clients as a CAREGiver I have realised what a difference one person can make.

When I am not working I have a very busy family life which includes four children, a dog, a cat and a kitten!

Victoria Claxton – Client Services Manager South

I began working for Home Instead as a CAREGiver almost three years ago time has flown by! I have learnt so much, Home Instead offer lots of in house training to ensure all CAREGivers can offer the very best client service and on top of this I have been encouraged and supported by Victoria to study for my QCF examinations.

I think Home Instead is a great company to work for and Victoria is a super boss! I was first given the role as a networker and administrator  for CAREGivers, a role I really enjoyed.

I have now been promoted to the role of client services manager for the south. I am responsible for seeing new prospective clients, signing up new clients and following them through the first few weeks with Home Instead. I ensure these clients are matched with suitable CAREGivers, I liaise with the CAREGivers to ensure they are fully briefed on these clients and then carry out the first reviews with these clients to make sure all is going well and as they expected. I find this role really rewarding especially when I receive lovely comments from clients praising their CAREGivers and the Home Instead ethos.

In my spare time I am a busy mother with my eldest having just started work and my youngest just started full time school! I enjoy spending time with my family particularly family walks with our dog, Coco, in Epping Forest.

Joshua Lekha - Senior Care Co-ordinator

I too started working for Home Instead as a CAREGiver, a role I have found immensely satisfying, my training helped me offer the best client service and I have made some great friends.

At Home Instead we are matched to our clients and we are then the first choice carer for that client so you get to know each other very well. I discovered that if I spoke French to one of my clients he would brighten up and eat his meal, another if down I would talk about his hens and he immediately would cheer up. I have regularly taken clients to our Memory Lane Café and it is lovely to see how they enjoy it. I have seen at first-hand how Home Instead can make a difference to people’s lives and I am so proud to be part of it.

I was offered a full time role in the office as a care co-ordinator and more recently I have become the senior care co-ordinator working with Tia. I am very excited about this new role and feel my knowledge of our company ethos, our clients and fellow CAREGivers will be invaluable and put me in a great position to match clients and CAREGivers and ensure all care calls are scheduled correctly.

I am now about to start studying again! This time for my QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care.

In my spare time you will find me at the gym! I used to be a semi pro rugby player but now I only play occasionally, socially.

Tia Exelby - Administrator/ Care Co-ordinator

I started working for Home Instead as a part time CAREGiver whilst also having another office based part time job.

I enjoyed meeting clients and feeling that I was making a difference to their lives.

I have recently given up my other job and begun working for Victoria full time. I assist Josh with scheduling and also I am responsible for some office administration including sending client and CAREGiver rotas.

I also act as a mentor to new CAREGivers liaising with them to verify their availability then allocating them shadow calls at clients they are well matched to. I ensure they are familiar with the care plans of these clients and that they are given any necessary background to the clients and CAREGivers they will be shadowing. Trying to make the process as stress free as possible!

I have also started helping organise our monthly Memory Lane Cafe. I really enjoy this, it is lovely to see how much the clients enjoy coming along.This is also a great opportunity to catch up with clients over a cup of tea.

In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, reading and walking. I will be walking even more in the future as I have recently got a puppy called Izzi!


Michele Regan - Recruitment and Retention Coordinator South

I began working for Home Instead as a CAREGiver three years ago and was recently offered an office position by Victoria which I was thrilled to accept.

Along with Jennifer, we are responsible for the recruitment and retention of staff, Jennifer for the north and me for the south. This is a really rewarding role I love it! I am responsible for the whole of the interview process and then mentoring CAREGIvers who live in the south of Epping Forest.

I have also attended training so that I can run our City and Guilds accredited dementia training for CAREGivers.

In my spare time I love spending time at home with my husband and family, and enjoy socialising with friends.
