Every year we enter the St John’s Church in Epping Tree Festival.
This year our tree has been decorated by some of the office team with a lot of help from our clients who have made most of the tree decorations at our recent Memory Lane Café plus some by my daughter Annabel. A real generation project!
Such fun has been had making the decorations one client said ’I’m covered in glitter! I haven’t been covered in glitter in years, I love it!’
Our Christmas tree festival theme this year is the Christmas Alphabet
C is for the carols we sing at Christmas. We have two ‘hurdy-gurdies’ for you to play and sing along to at the bottom of the tree.
H is for the happiness we hope we bring to our clients lives, we have lots of houses strung along the tree to represent our clients’ houses.
R is for the reindeers and robins on cards and in our songs at Christmas but R is also for ‘running errands’ for clients and helping make their lives easier
I is for the icing on the Christmas cakes and ivy, also for the individuals we employ. All our staff are incredibly caring individuals.
S is for the Christmas stockings and also for our staff and the smiles we hope we bring every day to our work
T is for our Christmas Trees but also for the trips out are caregivers take our clients on.
M is for the mistletoe of course but also for the matching we carry out to make sure our clients are well suited to the caregivers we send.
A is for the angels, our Angel on top of the top was made by Betty, another angel further down the tree was made by Norman.
And lastly S is for Santa who we could not do without! Happy Christmas everyone. Go along to St John’s Church on St John’s Road, Epping 1-4 December to see the entries http://www.christmastreefestivals.org/epping/
Please vote for our tree! Thank you, Victoria
