About Home Instead East Cheshire
Welcome to Home Instead Senior Care East Cheshire.
Our office, which is based between Chelford and Alderley Edge, was set up by Steve and Julie Akroyd in 2007 and is now well established in the local area. We care for clients across East Cheshire including Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Prestbury, Poynton and Congleton and thoroughly enjoy making a difference to their lives.
We’re dedicated to providing highly quality care and companionship to our clients, which enables them to continue living independently in their own home. Although most of the care we provide is commissioned directly by clients and their families, we also work closely with Cheshire East Council, local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and local GP surgeries, as well as charities such as Age UK and Alzheimer’s Society.
Our services range from companionship and home help right through to personal and special needs care. Our staff are also trained in providing specialist care such as end of life care and Alzheimer’s and Other Dementia Care - a City Guilds accredited training programme which is unique to Home Instead.
We don’t believe that it’s possible to provide good quality care in less than an hour and as such offer a minimum of 1 hour duration calls, which ensures that our CAREGivers can take care of their client’s needs without being rushed. We also feel strongly about continuity of care and carefully matching our CAREGivers with clients who share similar interests, so that genuine friendships can be formed. Our CAREGivers often become like an extended part of their client’s family and look forward to their visits.
Our staff are here to help you and your family every step of the way,so if you would like any further information about how we can support you or your loved one, please feel free to give us a call or pop in for a cuppa and a chat. We’re more than happy to answer any of you questions and talk through the sometimes complicated world of care.
Review: The Home Instead assessor visited on May 24th and explained carefully what was involved. The carers started visiting overnight 10pm - 8am for 3 nights a week to look after my husband to enable me to sleep. The ladies who came were friendly, kind and helpful. I cannot speak highly enough of them. My husband has gone from suffering from insomnia to sleeping through the night so their help is no longer needed. His mobility is much improved so daytime help is not required. I have explained that I wouldn't hesitate to ask for help again if needed. I'm very grateful. S.K.
