We recognise that choosing a Home Care service for yourself, friend or family member can be a difficult task so we have put in place a quality management process that will give you the confidence that we are able to deliver the quality service that you require.

We strive to ensure that we are achieving the highest standards in Quality Care and have a range of methods of regularly receiving feedback . Also we are acutely aware that the key to providing quality care is ensuring that our CAREGivers are happy, engaged and feel supported.

Every year we run our annual confidential Client and Caregiver Opinion Survey called PEAQ, which is independently run by Smith and Henderson. This survey goes out to all of our Clients and CAREGivers and seeks to gain their opinion on various elements of the service that we provide. The survey provides us with some key indicators on areas that we can improve and helps us focus of achieving the high standards that led to us receiving a CQC outstanding rating in 2017.

The main finding of the survey are highlighted below and we were delighted to find that 100% of our clients would recommend Home Instead and that 97% of our caregivers are proud to work for us.

If you have any questions about the survey please contact us on 01323 819191 and we will happy to discuss with you.

The care provided by Home Instead was excellent.

From the initial assessment to the training of staff and to the actual care given, all aspects of care have been of the highest standard. I was able to trust the staff to be considerate, efficient and caring to my aunt at all times. She enjoyed their company and felt her needs were met, without any fear or lack of dignity. She felt as I did, that she was in safe hands. Communication in all aspects of her care was key. We consider ourselves blessed to have found such wonderful people. Thank you.

I have been very pleased with the care and understanding shown by the carers to my parents. This has been a difficult time with my mother admitted to hospital. The carers could not have done more to support my dad. They know my parents well and are therefore able to offer the best support possible. I have been kept fully informed throughout and I really appreciate that. I would highly recommend this company.

During December Mum became increasingly ill and frail. On several occasions, the carer came in for her contracted hour, and stayed much longer, even accompanying Mum to hospital. Throughout the whole time the carers were incredibly sensitive, caring and really focused on the person. I was kept regularly informed of Mum's condition, especially when a hospital visit was involved. All credit to the management for assembling such a strong and capable team, and to the team for their readiness to go beyond the call of duty.

I asked Home Instead to provide daily care to my mother aged 92 when she had a fall in December and broke her wrist needing surgery to re-set it. She was unable to do daily tasks for herself. Having lived alone since my father died 4 years earlier, she found it very difficult to get used to having people in the house on a daily basis. I was extremely grateful and impressed by the speed with which the agency was able to provide carers and about the careful way they attempted to match the carers with my mother's needs. Since having her plaster removed at the end of January, the agency has continued to provide much reduced daily care and have attempted to accommodate my mother's preferences at every juncture. The staff are helpful and sympathetic at all times and my mother is now very grateful to have some daily company and help. I cannot fault the service provided in any way and have always been kept informed when there is a problem to address. This is good as I live 100 miles away.

"To work in care for the elderly, for the top care giving company in the UK, is not so much a job but a pleasure knowing that we are delivering exactly what the elderly need and deserve - our time and commitment - what could be better".

"I find working for Home Instead Eastbourne and Hailsham is like being part of a family. They are there for you when ever you need them and they nurture you and allow you to progress. I am happy I found such a caring company who match you to the service user to make caring easier".

Ms B

"I feel blessed to have found such a lovely and caring company that help make their staff feel valued and worthwile. The most fundamental part of this though, is the thought behing the whole idea of the company, and that is, helping the aged to maintain their independence wherever they are at the time, either at home on in a care facility. It is this that I find important as you can spend no less that 1 hour with your client and have them as long as they need you., building up a lovely raport which is so valuable to their wellbeing. All the rest comes after this, the going out as companions, helping with housework/ cooking or just sitting and chatting".

"Like so many people, I discovered the world of home care services at a time of crisis, after my 95-year-old grandma was discharged from hospital following a nasty fall.

After being disillusioned with many of the domiciliary care services I came across, a nurse who looked after my grandmother in hospital suggested that I contact these guys. As soon as I did, I knew I had found people that shared my belief that in order to look after someone properly, you really have to get to know that person and their family. I hope Home Instead continue to look after my grandma for years to come".
