My role as Franchise Owner at Home Instead Senior Care is to ensure that senior people in Doncaster can reach us and benefit from the services that Home Instead have to offer. My role focusses on building our relationships and networks through the local community so that we become an established part of the community and can better serve our clients. I also run the day to day operations and take lead responsibility for all regulatory matters such as our relationship with the CQC and all overseeing quality assurance. I take this stance and this hands on approach to ensure that we deliver the service I expect and our clients deserve.

Outside of Home Instead I am involved in Social Enterprise in Doncaster. I play golf on occasion, but rather poorly, and so I have a great passion for bettering my golf skills! I love music and most food, but hate bananas!

The best part of working for Home Instead Senior Care for me, is that I get to do what I love, while knowing every person I recruit is going to help make a difference to an older person’s life! I really love our open-door policy, it creates a fantastic feeling of a family run business.  It is so rewarding to see the huge positive impact of the service we deliver, has on people's lives, not only on the people we provide care for directly, but their families as well, providing them with much needed peace of mind through our excellent care and companionship service

Here at Home Instead Doncaster we know how important recruitment is to our business - it is essential we employ the right people to take care of our Clients. My role is to recruit and carefully select CAREGivers who share our work ethos and passion for providing quality care. It’s also important to us, that once we have found those CAREGivers, they go through a sound training programme which then allows them to feel happy, valued and supported and more importantly as part of our team. I look at ways to ensure we have a great environment to work in and to keep our employees engaged so that once we have attracted the best possible people we make sure that we retain them so that our clients receive absolute continuity in their care.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog and spending time with family and friends, and travelling.

My role here at Home Instead is make sure the day to day Care Operations run smoothly including Care Planning and Scheduling to ensure that our clients receive absolute consistency in CAREGiver so our Clients build strong relationships with their CAREGivers which we believe is vital in driving quality of care. I also make sure our service meets our high standards and the standards our clients. I am families first point of contact and just as our CAREGivers build strong relationships with our clients I look to build strong relationships with families and support them through their care journey.

In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and my two Lakeland terriers and if I could do anything I would buy a campervan and travel around Britain!

I joined Home Instead almost as soon it opened here in Doncaster, I was drawn by the commitment to high quality, relationship focused care that is locally managed and since I joined I have never looked back.

I work with Rob, Kerry and Gill to not only ensure the service is delivered is to the high standards we all set ourselves but that CAREGivers themselves have the day to day support through mentoring and field based to coaching to enable them to deliver the highest possible level of care. 

I have experienced the need for care for a loved one myself and enjoy working with families through our Quality Assurance process to ensure that each family and client gets the support they need .

Outside of Home Instead I am kept busy by Grandchildren and Dog!
