About Home Instead Derby South
Welcome to South Derbyshire Home Instead Senior Care.
I set up Home Instead Senior Care for my area because I am passionate about helping people to stay in their own homes for as long as possible. With many people living longer, quality of life becomes key and my aim is to make those later years, or for people with learning disabilities, as comfortable, stimulating and enjoyable as they can be.
Our office is based in the heart of Swadlincote and our team is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care on a completely individual basis. Our goal is for you to see us as trusted companions and an extension of your family, whether we are accompanying you to social events, helping you with light housekeeping or assisting you with personal care needs.
We are very familiar with the towns, villages and local communities that we serve, from Melbourne down through Swadlincote to Ashby de la Zouch and beyond.
Our minimum call is one hour as we believe that quality care cannot be provided in anything less. From assistance with shopping to a day out fishing, and from help preparing meals to assistance with bathing and dressing, our caregivers are here to respond to your needs up to 24 hours a day. Our services are tailored to our clients' individual needs, for a list of a few of the services we provide, please click here.
We choose our caregivers for their empathy, compassion and reliability and we also look at their particular interests so that we can carefully match our clients and caregivers one to one. We are uncompromising in our insistence on four references for each caregiver who joins our team and all are fully trained by Home Instead to ensure they have the specific skills and approach we require.
Being part of an award-winning, global network of over 900 locally owned offices means that we can keep up to date with the latest research in ageing, care for older people and maintaining independence. Many clients come to Home Instead Senior Care privately, however we also work with Local Authorities and Primary Care Trusts as well as organisations such as Age UK, the Alzheimer's Society and others. The feedback we have had from families, health professionals and Social Services concerning this highly personalised and companion based service has been fabulous.
Whether you would like to ask about our services for yourself, a family member or a friend we are always happy to answer any queries you may have. Please feel free to give Gillian a call on 01283 222678 for an initial chat or to arrange to call in for a cup of coffee - you will always be welcome!
All the carers are really good and help me in my day to day life and make things a lot easier for me
