It's a 'Reel' deal for Older People's Day in Crewe

As Older People’s Day is fast approaching on 1st October, the Crewe office of Home Instead Senior Care has joined forces with Reel Cinema and a new online radio station, to host an exciting event for the Senior Citizens of Crewe.

For just £2.50 you can enjoy a great fun filled day out which will include:

  • A viewing of the Julie Andrews classic ‘The Sound of Music’
  • A special performance by local Alsager woman, Rachael Roberts, who will sing her recent single ‘These Little Things’ released this month for Help the Heroes.
  • A short exercise class to learn how to keep your joints moving from your chair hosted by Emma Foden from East Cheshire council

All proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Older People’s Day is an annual awareness day and events will be taking place across the UK.  By 2020, half the population of the UK will be aged 50 or over which will bring fundamental changes to the nature of society.
Older people’s day is an initiative set to recognise the value of the contribution that older people make to society as in the long term we need to change attitudes about ageing and older people.
Dawn Sime of Home Instead said “The team at Home Instead is really looking forward to taking out our clients, it will be such a treat seeing an old movie on the big screen and a nice day out.  Older People’s Day is a great initiative to create awareness around the UK’s ageing population.”

Operations mangager of Reel Cinema added “Reel Cinema, Crewe are delighted to be a part of this occasion and as a local cinema we will give our full support to Home Instead in future events”
