Being a CAREGiver
By helping our clients with the little things you'll be making a big difference to their lives, whether you're helping out at meal times, taking them shopping or just stopping by for a cup of tea and a chat! We don't like to think of care as other care agencies in our area do, we believe in meeting all the needs of fulfilling someone's life not just the personal care but also the Social and emotional sides.
This special role is ideal for anybody that would like to build up a lasting relationship with an older person and would like to make a real difference in someone else's life. We assist people with a wide range of personal needs enabling people to remain independent at home and enjoying a good quality of life.
It's flexible part-time work in your area for a few hours a week. We'll take the time to match you with our clients and we don't rush our visits. That way you both get the most out of it and you can really enjoy your job.
Clients may require help with tasks around the home or assistance to go shopping and help them decide what they would like to cook and prepare, or maybe they would like to keep their much loved dog but have been feeling they are struggling to cope with walking the dog alone, all the simple things in life that make a huge difference. That is why we look for Caregivers from all areas of life all who believe in the same goal: enhancing an older person’s quality of life.
Empathy, compassion and reliability are much more important than formal experience as we will provide full training and support before you even begin. We want Caregivers to think of their role as much more than a normal job - we want Caregivers who want to give a little bit extra.
Our training is designed to give our Caregivers the skills and knowledge to go out and care for our clients safely and with confidence. We also have an Alzheimer's and dementia programme, which is accredited by City and Guild. This is a fantastic training programme and a formal qualification for Caregivers alongside the internal training we also provide in Health & Social care and Customer Care.
As a Caregiver for us you would never be assigned to a client you have not previously been introduced to, and we do not do what many other care providers do and carry out 15/30 minute calls – the minimum time you would spend with a client is one hour.
We are always looking for fantastic local people to join our team of Caregivers due to the increasing demand for our services in the Cowbridge, Pontypridd and Caerphilly area. If you feel that this is you and you could help us in changing the face of ageing in your local community please contact us on 02920 100999 of fill out an enquiry form.
