Major High Street retailer Argos has chosen the launch of its new catalogue on Saturday as a fantastic opportunity for the Alzheimer’s Society to raise awareness and much needed funds.

Gail Godson Director of Home Instead goes on to explain more, "Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley together with 'Love Ormskirk ', are trying to help make Ormskirk one of the first dementia friendly towns in the North West, and as a member of the Dementia Action Alliance we recently announced a joint collaboration approach with the Alzheimer’s Society to leverage further support for families and loved ones with dementia in our local community."

"On Saturday we are going to be at the Argos store in Ormskirk and amongst 1,000 volunteers nationwide who are joining forces to support Argos, the Alzheimer’s Society and their sister charities, raising funds for people living with dementia."

Through everyone’s efforts the collection aims to not only raise dementia awareness within Argos staff and their customers, but also to raise £100,000 which will help provide vital services to support people with dementia to stay in their own homes, and be part of community life for as long as possible.
