Information & Resources
Home Instead Chichester can refer individuals and families to Careline, and Chichester District Council will fund the Careline service for a period of 13 weeks. Please contact us for more information
Chichester Careline is Chichester District Council's 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year personal alarm service, that supports almost 21,000 clients - from young carers to senior citizens and for anyone who wants to live safely and independently.
Anyone living in the Chichester District can use the service. You could:
- be a Carer - young or old;
- live alone and feel vulnerable;
- have a disability; or
- been recently discharged from hospital
We hope that during the trial period the Careline service will help individuals to live more safely in their own home and will give them and their families peace of mind at a time when they are feeling a little more vulnerable.
At the end of this period, individuals will be given the opportunity to pay for the service themselves if they feel that the service has been worthwhile and wish to continue using it.

The Alzheimer's Society is a fantastic charity that offers a wealth of information and resources to those living with a dementia and the people who care for them.
Dementia Friends is a fantastic and ambitious initiative created by the Alzheimer's Society that promotes awareness of the disease. All of our staff and CareGivers at Home Instead Chichester are dementia friends, and we encourage everyone and anyone to do the same. There are now over 1 million dementia friends across the UK, and the aim is to reach 4 million by 2020.
Have worked within the team since Feb 16 and have met some lovely staff, the support is wonderful and lovely to know you have that support behind you. Home Instead make you feel that you're important and develop your skills with ongoing training. The best thing is that I have met and formed relationships with the most wonderful clients and its true what the company is all about, CARING, RESPECTFUL and to meet peoples individual needs.Carol Shepherd - CAREGiver
