I worked in corporate sales for 30 years prior to acquiring the Chester office of Home Instead in 2008. What attracted me to Home Instead was their ethos and the type of care they provide. Unfortunately this type of care was not available to my father and godmother which meant they could not remain at home during their final years.

I am extremely proud to deliver high quality home care in Chester and Ellesmere Port. It’s always rewarding to see the positive impact that the service we deliver has on people's lives, not only the people we provide care for directly but their families as well. What's also important for me is that we are creating employment opportunities in the community.

I am determined to see the best personalised care provided to all our clients. I also enjoy working with our great office team who are extremely loyal and fun to work with. Last, but not least, I am very proud to be associated with our fantastic CAREGivers, who give such great dedication and care to all our clients. This enables us to help more vulnerable members of the community remain independent in their own home for longer.

Prior to setting up Home Instead I worked as a senior enrolled orthopedic nurse at Chester Royal Infirmary and have also worked at a nursing home in Glasgow. All in all I spent over 20 years working in nursing, apart from a few career breaks for family!

For me it's quite simple, I love what I do. Providing home care is so rewarding as our clients are delightful and we employ a fantastic team of CAREGivers. I also love meeting our existing Clients to ensure that the quality of the Personalised Care we provide in the Chester and Ellesmere Port area is kept at the very highest standards .

I have recently embarked on some ground -breaking end of life training along with our Training Officer, Helen. This was sponsored by the Hospices of Cheshire and is nationally recognised qualification, known as 'the Six Steps' which will help our fantastic CAREGivers continue to provide quality end of life care for some of our Clients.

This means we can maintain our levels of high-quality personalised care to people throughout Chester and Ellesmere Port, thereby helping to keep them in their own homes.

Hi, I’m Isobel and I joined Home Instead Chester in 2009. I take pride in supporting people and giving them a good quality of life in their own homes.

I complete service calls with new clients to ensure that we are meeting their care needs. On a regular basis I complete care reviews to ensure that the personalised care being provided continue to meet their needs. Also I complete spot checks on our CAREGivers to make sure that they have the tools required to complete their jobs and are providing quality care to our clients.

I continue to care on a regular basis for a wide range of clients including those who suffer from dementia and those at the end of their lives.

I was attracted to work as a CAREGiver, as it’s a very rewarding job. It’s making a difference to not only clients but those close to them as well. I work with a great team who are very caring and compassionate.

I’m Nia and I joined the team in 2007. Prior to joining the Home Instead Senior Care team I worked in senior care for Cheshire County Council. I was interested in the position with Home Instead due to their philosophy about home care.

I have a wealth of experience which includes, my recent role as Client Care Manager. This involved proactively visiting all our clients on a regular basis to ensure they feel happy with our service.

As i personally know all our CAREGiver i strongly believe this holistic experience will help me in my new role.

I’ve been with Home Instead since the opening of the Chester office in 2006. Prior to that, I worked for a local hospice in the fundraising department, I’ve also worked as a carer. For many years I worked in business as a PA and secretary, a job which took me across the world.

It is my job to ensure our CAREGivers are happy in their roles so that we retain them as loyal employees. I am also a fully qualified trainer and deliver all the company’s relevant training packages. I am particularly involved with keeping all our care and Dementia training updated with our great CAREGivers. I always work to ensure that our CAREGiver’s skills are up to date to ensure they continue to provide the level of care our clients deserve.

I was attracted to Home Instead by the company's values and ethics, in particular the idea of independence for the elderly and disabled. Also the prospect and challenge of the helping the company to grow.

Payroll & Finance - Bethan Pollard

Hi, I’m Bethan and I joined Home Instead in 2012. Prior to this I was in the financial sector working primarily with people suffering with Mental Health issues, including dementia. Also those suffering from critical and terminal illnesses.

Originally I joined Home Instead as a CAREGiver and transitioned into the office gradually. My previous roles included administrator assisting our training officer Helen, and as a staff co-ordinator. Now I am the Finance & Payroll officer which i thoroughly enjoy, along side this I am the in-house IT support, People Planner champion and IQ Timecard Guru, I also have a current accountability to ensure GDPR compliance. I thoroughly enjoying working as part of such a dynamic team. 

I have always enjoyed working with people and really enjoy meeting a variety of interesting people. I feel that we really make a difference to help keep people in their own homes for as long as possible. Home Instead has an amazing support system and you never feel like you’re on your own, day or night.

Hi, I'm Lorraine and I have been with Home Instead Chester since 2006. 

I have quite a lot of experience in the care sector and worked for a number of other companies before joining Home Instead Chester. I initially joined the company as a CAREGiver but Chris and Sue needed another pair of hands in the office and I was more than happy to assist.

I have now completed the first stage of my Sage Accountancy course as this had added another facet to my business acumen. I hope to be able to use this knowledge to assist the Chester office in becoming more financially efficient. I thoroughly enjoy my job especially working with our wonderful CAREGivers and the office team.

I have been appointed as Recruiter. This move follows the increased demand for our services and the necessity for our organisation to continue to recruit the high quality CAREGivers and provide the best training available. In my role I am constantly looking for caring and compassionate people who can provide flexible hours in Chester, Ellesmere Port & surrounding areas.

Prior to this role I worked for my Local Authority for 7 years, then moved to Belfast following my husbands army career. I joined Home Instead in 2014 as CAREGiver and now love my role as Recruiter.

 

Field Support Supervisor - Louise Brown

Field Support Supervisor - Louise Brown

Hi im Louise, i joined Home Instead in 2010 as a CAREGiver, since then I have been appointed Field Support Supervisor, and will be performing the crucial role of supporting our Caregivers, thus ensuring they have the right support to serve our Clients in a professional person centered way. 

My role is to carry out field based assessments which forms part of the Care Certificate. I also support Clients, their families and our CAREGivers during out of office hours supporting the on call service.

I work closely with the Training Manager and Recruitment Officer to ensure CAERGivers deliver person centred care to the highest standard.
